I'll start it with my trip out to Wenatchee National Forest.

I'm sure I'll get better at these, but It may take a while

Not a lot of exploring, but slowdowns in SAR training leaves some time to stop and grab some pictures.

Yeah, the dog in those pictures is Dale.

The Cherokee doesn't have a HEMI, it has a 3.2 liter Pentastar v6.  It's a great daily driver, trail runner, and some overnight trips.

The HEMI is in the XK (Commander) that I'm working on building.  It may see its first trip the first week in August if I can get a couple things done (Hi-Band installed, and it passes a mechanical inspection).

8/3 - 8/5: Gifford Pinchot NF, Mt St Helens, Mt Hood NF

The route...

Exploring...

Overland Bound and some new stripes...

Came across some classic cars on the side of the road that were on a road trip to Pebble Beach. They had to hang out from the side while working on the underside, so I lent them the use of my warning lights.

That's an awesome Route! Are you on the road now, or back from adventure? Thanks for sharing. How long is this trip?

I'm going to try to embed your video likes. Lets see how that goes!

Cheers.

I'm back.

It was 3 days, 2 nights.

First Day / night was in Gifford Pinchot NF.

Second day was over to Mt St Helens, and then down through Gifford Pinchot to Mt Hood for the night.

Third day was the return trip I-84 to I-5.

It was a good shakedown for the XK. There are things that I need to work on.

Thanks, it got a little cold the last night up on Mt Hood, but with the weather we've been having up here, I really couldn't have asked for better. Though, a *little* rain would have been nice.
