Imho if you're dead set on keeping the jeep I would just pony up for a new jasper motor. 4.0 motors are pretty simple to swap even for just your common shade tree mechanic can swap a motor in a weekend.

Cb is the way to go. I planned to bring my frs radios and a cb and I also will have a ham but unless I can manage to get my license before this trip I won't be talking on the ham.

Last I heard about 5pm he was catching a ride with the tow truck. As of now he is getting a ride home from the dealer.
