I can't do this weekend as I'll be in joshua tree with fellow OB members.. But I'm down to drive to oc almost any other Saturday for a meet up.

Yeah I'll never go back to gas.. I can get around 550 or 600 miles to a 35 gallon tank.. So hard to beat.

Extra fuel is always a good idea. My truck has a 35 gallon tank and I plan on filling it up at avi casino and carrying a 2 gallon rotopax and a 5 gallon diesel can just in case. I'm pretty dang positive I won't use more than half a tank of fuel but you never know.

I'm not gonna lie.. I use a cheap Coleman fast pitch 6 man tent when I'm ground camping or camping from the wife's car Cost me about $120 and sets up in 6 to 8 minutes. 99 percent of the time, however, I am in my truck with my try which is 100000 times more comfortable.

Everything I am reading says campfires are not permitted.. But I have a large propane fire pit that I'll bring with large 20 lb propane bottles.

I need to do some research on campfires being allowed. I planned on bring in my propane fire pit in case we can't do fires

I'll be reserving my room in a few days. Hoping to be out there mid day on thursday, get a good night's sleep at the hotel and be good to roll Friday.
