Simple Mistake, and hopefully some good advice.

It seems like ARBs are readily available for both front and rear 4th gen (or your 3rd gen front, 4th gen rear): https://www.polyperformance.com/arb-lockers-for-toyota-4runner -TJ

    Camp Toilet

This is what I have too, and definitely like it. I wish it sat a bit taller, but I might make a little platform for it. -TJ

Starting over again for the last time . 2016 jku rubicon hard rock .

Right on, a JKUR is a great platform. I like your approach of just a simple lift for now, and see what it does for you. I think that's the way to start, though I'm HORRIBLE at following my own advice. -TJ

Simple Mistake, and hopefully some good advice.

A rear locker should have gotten you through that in 2WD. 4WD should have pulled you through that even with open front/rear. Do you not have a rear locker and/or not have 4WD? As for the clearance, it actually tucks the tire pretty darn close to perfectly. I'd roll those fender lips and then...

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Build

A couple more beauty shots (or a 4.7 WJ in its natural habitat... a gas station): And a fun comparison with a much more stock WJ (2" lift with +1" tires): -TJ

    Just another WJ

I haven't, and it's killing me. I didn't post much about it, but the whole issue of needing to cut and rotate the Cs added a lot more time. Then, I've had 2 or 3 trips planned that ended up falling apart because of others not being able to go, or my work. I don't really want to head out 100%...

    Just another WJ

The WJ is looking great, and those views are spectacular. -TJ

    Overlanding with Anxiety

Sometimes it's easy to forget being out in nature isn't "natural" for many. I grew up backpacking, and going to the family cabin (that's a real-deal cabin... 4+ hrs from electricity, you sleep out on "sleeping porches" not in it, I'm not talking a mansion in Tahoe with some logs glued on the...

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Build

Too long without an update again, lots going on keeping me distracted from Jeep things. But, did get some progress: got the Cs rotated so I now have perfect pinion angle and some caster. And resealed the t-case and diffs. The Cs weren't rotated during the main build, which looking back was a...

    Noob Seeking Some Rig Advice

Find a V10 or 7.3 PSD Ford Excursion. Whatever you do, do NOT even consider a 6.0 PSD. Beyond that I'd say a full size van (preferably diesel, if it's not a 6.0 or 6.4 PSD) is actually your best bet. Most of the rigs you mentioned have very little storage space behind the 3rd row. Getting 6...

    Power Wagon cliff side camping

That looks amazing! I spy some nice freedom-seed dispensers too. -TJ

    Crossover or mid-size SUV recommendation

GX is definitely a great choice... especially if it's a daily and daily driving involves hauling the family around and such. As you've shown in your vids, very capable. Nice and roomy. Plenty of Lexus comfort and NVH isolation. Solid aftermarket support. Toyota reliability. Etc. etc. etc...

    First overland build

What is "too much"? Give us a budget to work with. A new diesel Gladiator sounds like the best vehicle, since the trailer you have planned is right at the exact max for a 4-door Wrangler (and 1k past a 2-door's rating). If you're comfortable being at the max, I'd say a diesel JLUR might be...

    Crossover or mid-size SUV recommendation

I still think something like this would suit the OP well. If you don't want the V8, there are more out there like this. If the Grand is too big, the "regular" Cherokee is still petty capable and stays away from CVT, and are very affordable like this. Heck, even the Compass Trailhawk isn't...

Looking for good, bulk instant coffee

When I used to spend a lot of time overseas, you find that instant coffee is very common in some places (UK/EU, New Zealand, etc.) and doesn't have the "stigma" it does in the US. I wish I remembered brands, but often it was actually pretty good. I might give the Alpine Start a try. EDIT: I...

    Definition of Overlanding

...wait, are we still talking about this? My Jeep came with an "Overland" badge on it stock... so basically anytime I take it to the grocery store I'm Overlanding, right? -TJ

BW Crown King in a stock Rig

Hah, totally didn't realize that was your vid. Nice work! Anyway, I'm not familiar with BWCK myself (CA guy here) so I can't say if I'd try it... but it definitely seems like you enjoy the tougher, challenging trails. I imagine sliders, skids and a mild lift are planned "someday"? -TJ

What are your favorite adventure trailer gadgets and "hacks"?

Gotcha. So if you buy their kit everything doesn't come pre-CNC'ed? Great write-up. I'm lucky that my trailer gives me a few flat surfaces... but we all know you can never have too many. I might have to set something like that up! -TJ

What are your favorite adventure trailer gadgets and "hacks"?

Right on, great thread. I shared it with a buddy of mine who dreams of building his own trailer, but probably doesn't have the tools/skills (yet) to do it 110% from scratch. -TJ
