    Trip Prep - WABDR

You've reinforced my thinking. I'll be taking all 4 20 liter water containers with me. Unless my math is totally failing me, that's near 22 gallons / 80 liters. I have water purification for emergencies, and we will be going through civilization once a day, but you're right. Water is one of...

    Trip Prep - WABDR

Since I haven't had a real vacation in more than a year (...or two), I might be getting a little excited. Leaving this weekend, and I've already packed and unpacked the rigs a couple times. A little difference about this one over the others that I've done, not only am I planning it, and...

    WABDR 6/23

A few places I get information from... Word of mouth http://northwestoverland.com/forums/ https://www.facebook.com/Northwest-Overland-357937824289355/?fref=ts http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/wabdr-washington-backcountry-discovery-route-2015.1056151/page-169...

    WABDR 6/23

I should just be finishing it when you are starting it... I'll try to remember to get a quick update for you when I get back. According to the information I've found, there is only one section (small) that looks like it might pose a challenge. I'm more worried about down trees up north.

Thoughts and reasons for your chosen rig

I have sliders from Rocky Road. Not the Super-Sliders, but the regular ones. They've paid for themselves a couple times over... Otherwise it's unmodified. It's an amazing little machine. The fact that the powertrain is all tucked up above the armor (that works pretty well) means that 8.7...

    2006 Jeep Commander (XK) Build

I needed to make a better spot for my dogs (or more gear) while making sure I still had the flexibility to use my seats. I was originally going to just make one piece, but then it was brought to my attention that it might be good to have access to one seat and a little added space at the same...

GAIA is available on the app store as a bundle with the main app, and the offline app for $10 rather than the normal $15.

    A Check In/Out Thread

I think this is a great idea. However, for privacy and security, what would people say about making this a not public forum. Logon (at least), or Membership required. I do like the idea of just using your Member number and storing all the sensitive information in a more secure database.

Pulling the trigger on a RTT, any advice?

I received a response from Bobby over at CVT, here are some of the highlights... Extra's and upgrades on the Summit that the standard doesn't have. This has convinced me that the Summit is the version that I'll be going with, even if I am stuck with that super bright green... I asked a few...

Pulling the trigger on a RTT, any advice?

I shot a message off to them. If everything stays sold out, the decision might be made for me. The only think I'm still not clear on is the difference between the normal, and the summit models. Besides one being bright green and $600 more...

2 Factor Authentication and Overland Talk App

I like security, and I noticed that there was the option for 2-factor authentication in the preferences. I popped it open, I added overlandbound to my authenticator and everything looked great. Then I went to lunch and tried surfing from the app. Is there a setting that I'm missing? or is...

Pulling the trigger on a RTT, any advice?

One of the reasons I chose CVT early on is because they were in the region. I lived in Sisters many, many moons ago... Maybe I'll reach out to them and strike up a conversation Sent from my iPhone using Overland Bound Talk
