    Question for members with Jeeps

I have the BOH badges too but they are below my trail rated badge. I put the OB badge to the rear of my trail rated badge. You could always relocate one of the BOH badges to make room. Alternately, you could put it on the passenger side near the antenna.

Big Agnes Sleeping Pads and Bags

I really wish I could do the hammock thing. My kids absolutely love them and we have a bunch of them. After a couple hours though my back will start killing me. I need a flat surface to sleep on.

OVERLANDING IN INDIANA? WHERE TO GO?

I’ve read good things about Redbird but I’ve never been. I think it would definitely be worth a visit since it’s in your own back yard.

Its a little bit of a drive from there but the Alpine Loop in the Ouray/Silverton area is incredible.

Do You Keep a Vehicle Journal?

I do not but I am curious about yours. What software are you using there?

In my experience cb is still king but losing ground all the time. HAM is out because not everyone can use it. Dual band and GMRS are rapidly gaining on cb.

Im a side sleeper all the way. Part of my issue with everything else I used. What kind of BA tent do you have?

    Rinse/Shower kit

Very clever idea, especially the schraeder valve. I can think of a lot of other instances where this thing would come in handy too. Thanks for posting.

    Storing eggs

I don’t know how I managed to miss these in the past. I picked one up at Walmart for under $2 and it worked great. Thanks for the tip.

    Mud flaps

I don’t have any on my JKU but I’ve heard they are required in Moab. I’m going to have to come up with something to throw on there I guess.

Tell me about your backpacking tent!

I am looking for a compact backpacking tent that will accommodate two people. I am a big guy, 6'5" 245 so I realize I will need at least a 3 person tent to work for 2 people. Some of these tents seem long enough but I am concerned with the angle of the walls, I will be head and toe. I am not a...

Big Agnes Sleeping Pads and Bags

I have had an issue with camping for a long time. My issue is that I can't get decent sleep due to the discomfort of my sleeping situation. I have tried sleeping pads, cots, full size air mattresses and hammocks. I was equally miserable in all scenarios. A little about me, I am 6'5" 245lbs with...

That makes 4 of us. That’s a pretty good start I think. I’ll see you all a week from Saturday. I’m organizing an event in April I think you all will be interested in too. I’ll share the details with you at Rudy’s.

    Essential gear/mods for a newbie

I’ve noticed that fewer and fewer people around here are using cb. The handheld dual band, frs and gmrs are just cheaper and better. I still have my cb but it’s getting to be pretty rare to someone to talk to on it.
