Most trails are a few hours from where I'm located so I like to go with others if we are going to an offroad park even though I've never had any trouble there. On longer distance, easier terrain levels I don't mind going by myself. I always have a friend or my fiance with me though. Everything...
I haven't done a whole lot of "overlanding" but I have traveled to the other side of the state (NC) to Black Mountain and planned for a three day trip but the hurricane that came back east prevented us from going home for a week. We were about 30 minutes from any real town and had very limited...
I think anything off pavement, whether it is a gravel road of some distance or a designated "trail" at an offroad park makes a trail... It's whatever you make it.
Well I decided to go for it and cut a hole in the side for the coolant low sensor. Here’s the finished product. Tomorrow I’ll mount it with some sheet metal screws.

I’ve been working on the zj washer mod today before getting called in to work so I’m a little over halfway done. I rerouted the purge valve but haven’t bolted it down yet. I then undid the connections and bolts to the washer reservoir. Then some how got it out. I took the pumps out of the zj...
It’s fun to do weekend trips. Drive up Friday, set up camp, chill out go sight see a bit. Saturday we hit the outpost for breakfast and decide what trails we are doing and how to line up and we wheel all day. Sunday morning we will sometimes do some wheeling then head home or just head home...
Well I don’t know if it’s really making a difference or just a mental thing but I feel it is smoother just riding around town

Moved the cb radio and waxed the hood and hatch that were looking pretty rough. I also changed the oil this morning.

Got a few things done today so far. First was 5 qts of Mobil One and a qt of Mystery Oil at 186,000 miles, then picked up some sheet metal screws to relocate cb radio and went over to lkq to find a zj washer fluid bottle and scored one with cap, sensors and bolts for $12! I might tackle this...
Yeah I know. Our lkq yard is full of them. Fortunately I know the guy that owned it took care of it. He had receipts for everything he did to it including diff fluid and oil changes.

Sorry to kinda get off on a tangent, but if you build your own tire carrier and get a heavy duty latch, there won’t be any rattles

That was for the front though if I remember correctly. They sell blue prints for $30 that can be loaded into a CNC machine. Front and rear bumpers

Lol in all fairness he didn’t know how to weld either. Luckily I have a friend that does and our entire off-road club does too. I’m going to buy the pieces I need then do something similar to it
