    Jeeping it! Food storage question

I carry a ruger 9mm with personal defense rounds in it when we go camping. We’ve had coyotes come close to our camp twice now and it’s scarier if you aren’t armed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

RTT or ground tent & why

I like ground tents, mostly because that’s what I’ve always used. Now that we bring the dog with us, a ground tent is a no brainer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Securing your site.

I enjoy Uwharrie as well but depending on how busy it is, it can get a little crazy up there. Every morning I pack up everything into my ground tent and hope for the best. The expensive stuff I bring with me like my yeti cooler. I don’t trust people but if they need to steal my clothes than so...

    Sourcing firewood

Here in the east most of our deadfall are pines with a variety of hardwoods. I don’t mind collecting firewood even if it’s dark. I bring a tree saw just in case I need to cut large pieces Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If there's already a fire, why cook on a stove?

I’ve done mostly fire cooking while camping and I have copper bottom pots that I use to cook. After a few days of cooking they build up soot. I’m going to be getting a propane stove for ease of use for this year. Cleanup from cooking on fire is more involved than stove cooking Sent from my...

    03 Grand Cherokee Overland Build

Yeah his build is sick. Lucky person who bought it. I wish they would have gotten on here or Jeep forum just so we can keep tabs on it. It wasn’t his I got this idea from though. It was on JF. I haven’t looked through his build in awhile but I have a good idea of what I want/need. Tire carrier...

    03 Grand Cherokee Overland Build

Also, I can’t take credit for the purge valve idea. Someone else on either this forum or Jeep forum had done it that way and it seemed a better option and took 2 seconds to do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DIY AWNING for $90 (ARB style awning) 9' x 9'

Cool! I’ll check out IG. I personally enjoy having build threads on forums. It allows others to chime in with advice/critiques while letting you show what you’ve build. I really need to build a swing away tire carrier. That’s priority numero uno right now. I’ll be following something similar to...

    2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo

Yep I got in again sometime in December I think. My build is up to date on here. The link is in my sig. it’s going well. Just doing general maintenance. I did the zj washer mod this week so that was cool. I’m looking for full time work currently now that I’ve graduated college. My plans are the...

    rear storage drawer system build

Great ideas everyone. I built a really simple shelf my TJ when I took the rear seats out for camping. Now that I have a Grand Cherokee I have a lot more room and am looking into doing a simple drawer system and leaving a location for my Yeti 65 cooler. This thread gives me a bunch of motivation.

DIY AWNING for $90 (ARB style awning) 9' x 9'

Thanks for this idea. I've been toying around with the idea for awhile now and you may have just solved that. For a case, you could possibly use an umbrella storage bag with little modification. I see you've made a case with the tarp. I'm interested to see that as well. By the way, nice WJ. Mine...

    Big O tires

I've never heard of them.... doesn't mean they aren't good though. My personal preference for tires on any vehicle is the Goodyear Duratracs. They perform well in snow, mud, rocks, sand and rain. Tire wear is very good with long lasting tread. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in...
