Hey man look into building a tire carrier with the stock bumper for WJs. I’m planning a build for one. Look up roamingtimber on here and he has a thread on it.

Thanks for the idea. I suppose I could do an AGM battery. My last wrangler had one and it worked well with the winch and extra lights. I enjoy wheeling (rocks, mud, and sand here in NC) so I’m trying to make one rig do it all. Currently I keep a bunch of tools and recovery gear in the tire well...
Uwharrie is a blast. I might be able to join you on that trip if you want. Trails are relatively easy. Stay off of the three that start with a d. Dutch John, Daniel and Dickey bell have become the hardest trails out there. I’ve gone in a stock TJ and it did great. I climbed Daniel on 31s with 2”...
After reading around on this forum and watching videos I’ve come up with a few things I would like for my build that’ll make the jeep more independent.
Air compressor
Winch
Dual batteries
Storage drawers
Tire carrier with storage
Snorkel?
I’d also like to make the awning, get a fire...
Good to hear. That’s what I’ve been putting in mine. I really like the penzoil high mileage but switched for this current oil change

Cool good to know. I’m going to change the oil this weekend so can i put seafoam in now? I don’t have any strange noises at the moment but it has 183k on the clock

Hey man! So yes I started on JeepForum and took a 4 month break or so from the forum because I was locked out and busy with working, school and an internship. I graduated so I now have some free time as I’m pursuing a full time job.
The bumper I taped off to see how it would look cut and...
Great topic! I enjoy camping with my fiancé and now as of last summer our retriever mix, Tucker. We have a “3 person” ground tent that fits a queen air mattress in perfectly. I blow this up using a 12v compressor with cig outlet plug and then we put sheets and a comforter on it. Most of our...
That’s cool too. I’ve never looked into this. I know of the one guy who did it on his orange Oakley jk wrangler but haven’t seen anyone else do it. He used the stock rear bumper as the water tank. I think I’d be able to make something for under $230 though. Even if it’s not at pretty, as long as...
I’ve never seen that before. Pretty cool looking. I’m curious how many gallons I could fit in that tire well though. That road shower is pretty heavy for the 10 gallon one empty. 36 pounds on the roof could make a difference in center of gravity on technical terrain. With the water stored low...
I’m not sure either lol. I just thought of it earlier and it seemed like a good idea. Currently I keep recovery gear, floor jack, and tools in there but am trying to think long term projects.

Does anyone have an onboard water? I thinking about converting the spare tire well in my Grand Cherokee into a storage for water, hook up an RV style pump and run an outlet to the side of the Jeep so I can attach a small hose and take a shower or help clean myself or the dog.
That is all I've done so far. Tonight I went ahead and ordered spark plugs, pcv valve, and air filter for a tune up. I also will be changing the oil here soon. After reading through my build thread, I realize so much has changed. After exploring this forum I'm thinking my next couple mods will...
I’ve been gone for awhile now lol. Between school/internship, graduation, working and hunting I’ve had no jeep time.
It’s due for some regular maintenance. Just put seafoam into the gas. Going to put a bottle in the oil too next oil change. Planning on plugs, wipers, thermostat, service...
Friday began fall break for us and we headed to the NC mountains, about 5 hours west to Linville Falls to camp with my girlfriend and our dog. Had a great time and my girlfriend is now my fiancé!
On Thursday first thing we did was a dry steer test and found the potential culprit. The bushing for the IRO trackbar on the axle side was moving side to side about 1/4”. We checked the toe and it had moved 1/16” in. We had previously set it at 0. So this time we set it out at 1/16” to improve...
