Anybody else out there do their own body work and paint their vehicles themselves?

So you did not cut that final grey with anything to spray it? That's an awesome job. It's probably the same way the guy who extended the rubicon my buddy has did his paint job. The smurficon.

    My buddy's new Rubicon.

Took Er up for a scoot today to test out everything. Working good. Got a few More things to sort out. I think the rough country control arms are being replaced with something with stock style bushings for a quieter smoother ride. A couple of pics of our quick scoot!

    Overlanding with a Honda Ridgeline

Good points. Knowing what you are driving goes a long way. That being said, add some skid plates, the lift, some larger tires and some recovery gear like maxxtrax and even a hitch mounted winch setup and you can go many many places without fear.

    Has overlanding become elitist ?

The "elitist" part of it is something like titanium chop sticks that cost 60 bucks a pair. Go pick up a set of wooden ones and go. And Friggin sporks....Seriously. Take a great design like a fork and make it so you can't STICK anything with it and you cant have a full spoonful of whatever...

    Death of the “Coleman” Lantern?

We have moved to LED too. Clean, efficent lighting. I have a little woods led light that looks like a lightbulb, with a remote. I hang it in the sylvansport and we have enough light for anything we want to do. I have a couple of LED lights for outside too. My camping speaker for listening...

    New Bronco

I think you will be fine with the bronco. You get way more for your money with the Bronco than you do with the Wrangler now. Time for Jeep to step up to the plate.

    Overlanding with a Honda Ridgeline

There is a mild lift kit for it too. I was looking at one before I bought the jeep. It's an awesome driving rig. I would put the lift on, some more aggressive AT tires in a slightly larger size, either a truck cap or something on the rear to protect your gear from the weather and burn...

    Has overlanding become elitist ?

As for elitist, on the "other" site, I got ripped by a so called moderator because I brought up motobecane bicycles annd how they are a good deal compared to top brand bikes. The storm that ensued was huge. You might have thought I said I am going to kill your family or something.

No way, your spork is way higher on the elitist totem pole. Ha ha. I'm old school, I carry both a fork and a spoon.

I'm unsure now a days. I have been using my iPhone 8 for the past two years and been happy with it until the past six months. I dont get notifications on either my phone or apple watch. I have piss poor signal reception and about once a week my battery drains in about 3 hrs. I cannot use...

    Where do you work.

I work from my home property now. I will never again be "employed". I worked for myself my entire life except for a few stints of work when I was 17- 20 and then the past 2 years working in retail. Retail broke me. I cannot be ordered around like a bitch. I will snap back and have at all my...

    Has overlanding become elitist ?

Yeah, if you walk neighbourhoods around here all the garages that are opened are "pretty". Tiles on the floor, nice cabinets for storage, and golf clubs. My upper garage behind my home houses my lawn mower, snow blower, the sylvansport camper and my audi A4 cabrio. My workshop down on the...
