Making Green Chile Jambalaya in a Camping Pressure Cooker

Good morning all. I just put up a new video with a very tasty green chile jambalaya recipe. The bit of a twist is that I made it in the GSI camping pressure cooker which I am quite fond of. Not sure if you have used it or are familiar with it but if not you can check it out here. It is a great...

Taking a TikTok Trend to the Camp Cooker

The Camera Lady found it on Instagram I believe but it started on TikTok. I have never looked at it but my college age daughter loves it. If you search hard enough on TikTok I am sure you could find a cute little cat smoking some cheese on a home made litter-box smoker!!

    Trans America Trail-Pacific

Hey all. I was looking at the TAT website as I was thinking of running the Pacific portion later this year when I am out that way. From what I can tell from the website is that this trail was mapped for overland motorcycles, not 4x4 trucks and Jeeps so I sort of dropped it. But I was hoping some...

    Let's talk about off set!

I don't really know what offset my AEV Salta wheels use but I am guessing pretty close to stock. Increasing offset (pushing wheels out) puts a lot of strain on the bearings from what I understand and can lead to premature failure. I think it is wise to stick as close to stock as possible. If you...

Taking a TikTok Trend to the Camp Cooker

This weekend, sadly after returning from a trip to northeast Iowa, some great views of the Mississippi, I tried the new smoked cream cheese that is popping up on the social media. I was surprised how good it was and is really easy to make and could be done at camp, even off to the side of a fire...

5lb Propane Tanks: before I spend $70+ for one, how much did you pay and where?

If you are only moving from the 1 lb bottles due to the waste factor-and I agree with you on that and same for butane-you might be interested in this bottle which is a refillable 1lb bottle. Seems you could take advantage of the cheaper refills on the big tanks but safe room in your rig and only...

    Zarges and Alu-Box

I just received my new Zarges 470 boxes and can say that they do stack with the Alu-boxes. They seem to stack as well as the Zarges do on each other.

    Airing down E load tires.

I run Cooper STT Pro 35s on my JKU and AEV suspension. If I recall AEV recommended 28 pounds but I run 32 normally for road use and have 35k miles with no issues.

    Airing down E load tires.

How do you like those tires for combined road and trail use? I will be looking at tires shortly and I see the 35s are D-rated.

Called Raw Dog where I grew up. Used to be pretty common but don't see it much anymore.

Welcome to the group from one Eatern Iowan to another (though don't live there now). We actually drive by Grand Mound often when heading back to the farm. The project looks like it will be a very unique rig once you have it done!

Alpine Loop CO, is this route okay?

What part of August are you planning on going? We will be in the area week of the 23rd it looks like and were thinking of doing Imogene, Ophir and maybe some others. I would love Black Bear as well but don't have a lot of mountain trail time so hesitant about doing that one right out of the box...

@Road have you tried the Firebox G2 (or smaller one)? I think these are really nice stoves, although make sure you get the version made in USA, I do think it is better made than the Chinese one offered in the kits.
