    I don’t, we are starting to climb the 11 year solar flux, so in another couple years, the CB SSB DX Skipping is going to be hot again. Unfortunately I haven’t heard much talk of GMRS skip.

    Yes you are wrong thinking this... the DC filter filters out RF noise generated from the transmitting station (your car and CB). When the filters don’t work is when RF signals are generated elsewhere and traveling through the air.
