The straps work fine. Where do you live?
And for the parachute bag Rothco makes A replica one thats pretty good. You can get surplus ones on ebay as well.
Hes probably talking about the G80 locker GM put in a lot of trucks and suvs. It allowd a certain rpm differential left to right before locking. Good serviceable diff but not happy with big throttle openings.
Either one. Both are going to be semi difficult to come across clean non rusted examples depending on where you live. Unlike the XJ which had nearly 3 million examples built the MJ only had 270ish thousand built over it's short run and less than half of those were 4WD examples. Not sure how...
Pretty much all the back roads in the National park can be taken with a 2 wheel drive vehicle. The State Park just west of BBNP is more desolate with more challenging trails if that is what you are looking for.
There's not much like Big Bend no matter where you go out there though. Beautiful...
Dual burner propane stove from Academy because I wanted something less bulky than my Coleman 424 Dual Fuel Stove (tri-fuel actually since I have the propane adapter as well). The 424 is for sale by the way if anyone is interested haha.
And a Buddy Heater. The smaller one that mounts...
The XJ is a hodgepodge of metric and SAE fastners so just buy a set of each and accept that fact. Daily driving I keep one of those flat pack tool kits that folds open. It doens't take a lot of space and has nearly everything I need. At home I have a pile of other stuff. It'd be easier to...
95 XJ Country. This is my 4th XJ with my previous ones being, 94,00, and 97 in that order all Sport trim levels.
95 has the following 202,xxx miles. It's a daily driver with a minimum of 1000 miles a month being put on. Since Oct 22 of Last year it's covered 19,373 miles as recorded on my...
I'm an XJ guy (on my 4th one) so now in many groups I run with I'm in what most would consider an "old Jeep". It's a money pit sometimes but it's MY money pit :tearsofjoy: I agree with not needing the Rubicon. It's nice to have some of it's features but a lunchbox locker will do a large...
The single serve spams and canned food is my go to on the road food. I can put a can of Campbells Chunky under the hood (or put a spam pack on the intake manifold) and have a hot meal when I stop for the day or for lunch.
Some spots on the k trail will have tree limbs reaching out to your paint. I striped up my XJ in there and its pretty small. But tree stripes arent something i worry about.
Other than that the road is a rough 2wd road. Not smooth enough to go at speed till you get past the fire tower but not...
Found the idler pulley squeaking when cold. Also has some.wobble to it. Ordered a new one
Was getting a gas smell and found a very small leak at the fuel pressure regulator. pulled it out and the original 25 year old orings finally gave up the ghost. Im guessing our recent spat of cold weather...
