US Northwest Reocurring 3rd Friday of the Month - Beer & Gears ---> Moved to Sunday, March 22nd

Yeah, I'm not a fan of making 3 car payments, but eh, whatever.

I wouldn't know anything about that. I was impatient when I decided to buy my xterra, so I financed it.

Cancelled La Grande, Oregon : Monthly Coffee, Rigs, & Trails

I can't make it this time, but I'm going to try and make it out next month. We'll see how it goes. I really want to get started with my build.

I can understand that. Going car shopping without money doesn't seem like a worthwhile effort.

US Northwest Reocurring 3rd Friday of the Month - Beer & Gears ---> Moved to Sunday, March 22nd

When I was talking to you over the weekend, it sounded like you were coming out. Has that changed? We could always move it (but not to that Thursday, I have a prior engagement). I think sockeye would work better. Kids can come and eat, we can get a table, and it's quieter, so you can carry on a...

    02 blazer build

I never had a problem with my injectors. I bought mine with 70k on the clock, and it finally died 200k later. Things I had go wrong were the transmission in the first year, then the heater core (4x), water pump (x2) fuel pump, oil cooler lines, intake manifold gasket, thermostat, and the ac...

    02 blazer build

Much better! Thank you! As for the rig, looks pretty clean, with the obvious exceptions. At least you don't need to worry about drilling out the rivets of a stock ball joints. Lower intake manifold is a pretty common issue in the blazers. There's lots of common little things that pop up...

    02 blazer build

Welcome! I have a soft spot for second gen Blazers.... But, I'm going to have to be a bit of a Grammer nazi here. Is there any chance you could break your post up with periods and paragraphs? It makes it REALLY hard to read. I'd love to provide you some feedback and tips, but just can't...

    2000 Nissan Xterra XE

I've not done it yet, but from what I've heard, not really. I'll let you know once I do it. I'm not a fan of crawling under the truck when it's cold and wet outside (my house doesn't have a garage).

    2000 Nissan Xterra XE

I don't disagree at all! I don't really intend on building a rock crawler either, but for 100 bucks, a pml is a simple mod that only adds capability, so I'm doing it. That, combined with 265/75r16s should give me all the clearance I need. I'm actually happy to see all these xterras popping up...

    2000 Nissan Xterra XE

OK, that makes a little more sense. It looks like you've left the suspension at stock height as well. I gotta say, I took my stock 03 out a couple of weeks ago for a group day run, and even the jeep guys were impressed with how she did. Are you planning on doing any sort of lift at all? Parts...

    2000 Nissan Xterra XE

Looks slick! I can't believe you managed to fit a second battery under the hood. I hadn't done the measurements, but it didn't look like there's enough room down there. I'm going to have to re-think putting mine in the cab when I get around to it. Let me know how that tuff stuff awning is. I'm...

    Big things happening!

Yikes! That doesn't sound like fun at all! I'd still recommend adding an additional cooler in series with the built in cooler if you don't already have one. GM transmissions REALLY don't like heat.

    Big things happening!

Out of curiosity, is the h2 running a 4l60e,or 4l80e? Either way, if you're not running a heavy duty auxiliary trans cooler, I highly recommend you have one installed in series with the stock cooler when you have the new trans installed. That should really help prolong the life of your trans.

What's your latest camping gear purchase, and what caused you to buy it?

Oh, that's tempting. Though I already have a 0°, and would probably want to bump down to a - 30° bag.
