Been a bit busy with xmas related stuff and work, so I just found this thread. The only way I could really justify making the drive would be for a multi-day thing. If we could plan something like that, I'd be game. Maybe drive out Friday night, and come home Sunday.
**EDIT** - I just realized...
Or, better yet, "Overlodging". Insert Trademark. No uses without paying royalties. Boom. Profit for me!
I actually have a whole new (used) head assembly sitting in a box in my basement. I want to do a full valve job on it, that way I can pull the old head off, and put the new one on in a...
I have a mxt-275 on the way myself. I've been using a baofeng hand held with an external antenna for a few years. It worked well, but since I have a dedicated rig now, I figured I might as well have a permanent radio solution.

George is already aware, but I've decided to retire my 04 colorado from expo duty. I still have it as a daily (gets better mpg than it's replacement), but expo duty, has been replaced with this....
Build starts after the new year. A...
My plan is to do the same thing once I get the xterra set up the way I want. I really start the build in January. Trying to plan things around the holidays is tough for sure.
Maybe we start getting a feel for when people are available?
