I have 3 radio's in my rig. My trusty CB (which doesn't get used much these days), midland mxt275 (15w gmrs), and a baofeng UV-5R.
This allows me to communicate with pretty much much anyone I would come across.
I recently did a 4 day trip with several other OB members. We used a combination...
I just stumbled upon this inexpensive cargo/fridge slide, and was wondering if anybody has any experience with it?

What Charles said is 100% correct.
For me, I tend to start with armor, usually. A good set of skids will keep you from getting stranded by an oil pan, or transmission pan hole.
I drove a first gen Colorado for a few years with skid plates being the only mod, and they saved my bacon a few...
Well, my wife and I used our rockpals 500w battery for three nights over this weekend, and it worked fantastic. Powering both cpaps with the humidity and heated hoses turned off used about 25% battery per night.
I did discover that charging the power pack off of a 12v port in the truck might...
Dude, those wheels look great! Are they OE nissan wheels? I like that design better than my 4 spoke oe wheels (which are coming off tomorrow in favor of some 5 spoke colorado wheels, due to the fact I need the mud tires that are on them this weekend).
That's what I thought, but I was genuinely curious. Sounds like I bought the right thing! I do have a tow strap as well. Next up are some traction boards. :D
Sorry, I didn't get any notifications of responses to this thread!
So, in the Xterra, there's two outlets already in the center console. Both are powered all the time. I'm looking to add another one for charging the power station when the engine starts up. Generally speaking, as of right now...
Yesterday, I put on my lift shackles, and idler Arm brace. Also go my rear bumper welded, and mounted, and fabbed up a swing arm for it.
Today, I got the first two coats of primer on the bumper.
I would love to, but I'm going on a 4 day trip the week before that, so likely won't make it. I'm very curious to see what you think of the road conditions though. I've never been down there, and definitely want to check it out.
Well the end goal for the swing out is to obviously get the tire out from under the rig. I'm also planning on putting at least 1 Jerry can on there.
That will open up that space so that I can try and figure out a way to put either a second fuel tank down there, or maybe a water tank, if I can...
