First recovery in the new rig

I believe most of the Ropes stretch 30 percent instead of 20. But you'd have to check each manufacturer's website. I just ordered a 7/8ths inch ditch pig. Less than 80 dollars and next day delivery via Amazon. The kinetic ropes are newish to the off road world but my understanding is that...

First recovery in the new rig

One is flat the other is round. ;) If it's a real snatch strap and not a standard recovery strap. Even a recovery strap has some give to it but not enough to be doing big yanks with it.

Nice. Lots of people underestimate these little vehicles.

Kinetic rope is on my short list of gear this year.

    First Aid/Fire Extinguisher Identification

Back hatch. That's where the bobo kit is and the fire extinguisher. I keep a smaller one up front but probably wouldn't bother marking that one.

    Oklahoma Adventure Trail

The area around Broken Bow lake has a ton of dispersed camping as well. It's a little bit off of the OAT but not far.

Yeah the western part of the state is mostly private. You get into the Ntl forrests on the east side. You can probably get away with some good ol fashioned stealth camping if you kept a low profile.

    NMBDR/Lincoln NF

No, you can see it from the site I camped at but it's gated off and appears to still be an active tower looking at it though binoculars.

Dispersed camping will be easier to find on the east side with the Ozark and Ouchita Ntl Forrests there.

How to hold a handheld HAM securely in the rig

I like that. Looks like a slim simple solution.

How to hold a handheld HAM securely in the rig

I'm not sure how you would go about securing the radio to the charging base effectively in the vehicle. I know Motorola makes a few in car solutions for charging but it's Motorola so $$$$$$ Looks like someone does something for Yeasu as well...

    waterproof case

Looks like MSRP is going to be around 400 for the biggest BX140 case, 300 for the midsized BX90 case. The cube case is going to be about 200. They will not be gracing my cheap ass vehicle :tearsofjoy...

LifeSaver Water filter, How Do You Filter Water?

I keep a Katadyn Hiker Pro (not the transparent one linked but same idea). I also carry about 5 gallons per adult per trip and I'm typically going to make it back to some kind of civilization before I run out so I can refill. The Hiker filters aren't the fastest in the world. Pumping a 5...

    Oklahoma Adventure Trail

I can't remeber if they have the "Clayton Trail" on there or not anymore. It's been bulldozed at the Clayton trail and K Trail intersection by the company putting in the wind farm in the area. They shoved a huge tangle of trees down onto the trail making it impassible. Supposedly the road has...
