Wait, so you ordered a fridge? That's on my list to get for next year. Let me know what you think of that whynter fridge.
I've been running the lifetime 52qt cooler for a year now, and it's done rather well so far. Did a 4 day trip last month through the Oregon desert in 90+ degree heat and no...
I've heard that Iron man USA has awesome customer service, and have experienced it a bit myself (I have a 10 gallon water tank from them). From my understanding, they stand behind everything they sell. If you do have an issue with the fridge, I'm sure they'll get you taken care of.
Nice! I love my '03. Sitting with 142k on it, and drives awesome. When it comes time to replace my Daily truck, I'm looking into picking up a Frontier Pro-4x.
I'll probably go with the ICECO slide, as I'm likely going to end up with an ICECO fridge next year anyways.
@M Rose I'd love to get an up close look at this tent. We're still in the market for a new tent, and If the t4 would work for us, I'd probably go that route. Let me know the next time you're planning on coming out to the Boise area, and we can work something out ;)
One thing to note about these uncuts.... Both videos fail to convey just how steep the decent down in video #1 and the climb out in video #2 were.
These were both pretty steep hills.
Thanks for posting these George! I think I like the uncut ones even more than your normal videos (but I'm not...
I drive an 03 xterra, so I really feel your pain. I've looked into this myself, and the only real option is in Australia, and unfortunately, they don't ship to the US.
Unfortunately, you're pretty much limited to a generic transfer tank, a marine fuel tank in the bed, or Jerry cans.
I'm...
After using my el-cheapo sleeping platform for a bit, I've decided that to really make the best use of the space (or lack there-of) that I have, I really need a drawer system. I've been working on designing an updated system that will make camping with the family, and solo much easier.
I've...
Free bump for ya! I have one of these in my rig, and it's an awesome radio. For anyone who's interested in gmrs for their vehicle, you can't go wrong with this radio.
The above is a good option, if you have the room. Another option to consider is a DC to DC charger.
Dual battery setups more or less require both batteries to be the same to work properly, which can get expensive quickly. DC to DC systems allow your batteries to be different, and should work...
I'm currently rolling around trails in my 03 xterra. When it comes time to replace my 04 colorado daily driver, I've decided I'm replacing it with a Frontier pro-4x.
You all have some great looking rigs!
I ran a similar setup for the longest time using a UV-5R before picking up my midland mxt275. Worked great. I keep it in the truck as a loaner/spotting radio.
I can't imagine the gmrs radio not working as well. Should be a good radio.
I've used my 52qt on several trips now (of varying Temps - the last being in the upper 80s to low 90s), and it's done great. Filled with two blocks on the bottom, and surrounded by cubes, and it lasted my entire 4 day trip. Going again in a couple weeks, and it will last just fine. We'll worth...
