What are Your Favorite Overland Recipes?

Another one is some soup. I dont bring it often because it's hard to bring soup for me. But hot soup on a cold morning is AMAZING. I make oxtail and radish soup, usually takes 2 days to make, or 1 day if you got some time. Soak the oxtail (about 4 or 6 lbs) in a bowl with cold water in the...

What are Your Favorite Overland Recipes?

Damn there are some skilled chefs here! My cooking is limited since I use a smallish cooler to bring food. I vacuum pack steaks and ground beef, with zucchini and mushrooms for dinner. Various marinades before I even leave for the trip, usually a few days to let them soak in. Saves space...

    Jeep Owners Represent!

I was in bed and heard it raining suddenly. I went out and put the tops back on and left windows cracked and rear window open, didnt want mold growing when the sun comes up.

    What is your EDC Flashlight?

I tend to disagree. The lights are like any other gear. Sometimes you do get more for the money. I have weird eyes and the standard cheap led tends to be on the blue side, which hurts my eyes after a few minutes. So I go for lights that are modified for warmer color and high CRI. This...

    is low range neccesary?

I was playing around with the jeep yesterday, it did fine in 2 wheel mode nearly most of the trail. Needed 4hi for some rocks and slippery surfaces. ONLY on the offshoots, did I need 4lo. I could travel to many places without even 4hi. I think 4lo is for extreme terrain, and not necessary...

what do you carry your tools in? (ideas and pictures)

I use a goruck backpack. Large zippers, opens like a suitcase, lifetime warranty. I keep just the essentials, hex bits, wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, gorilla tape, and some hex wrenches. I bike lock it to another bag of tow strap to my rear seats mounts.

    2wd rig

I've been to a lot of places in rwd. But I think my tires help greatly, also pick good lines. I have the bfg km3 in 285 70 17. I have 4x4, front and rear lockers, but only use 4x4 for deep soft sand, deep mud, and steep hills.

Ah I see, good to know. Anyone have any good suggestions for a phone mount to record video? My rugged ridge phone mount snapped at the ball joint.

    Hauling wood

Sorry for bringing up an old thread... I wrap my wood in a tarp and throw it in the backseat, but looking to improve it. Its messy and not really my ideal setup.

    My build journal

The place I got them from said they were meant for JKs with 0 to 2" lifts. The teraflex lift kit (waiting) is 1.5". So hopefully they wont need any tuning. How would one tune a shock anyways? I have never done so.
