The first week of owning my 2016 wrangler, I drove 8 hours to sedona, az.
Followed the pink jeeps around til I found a nice trail, broken arrow. Easy trail, but I took the wrong line and bent my muffler and made a hole in the bend.
A year ago, I went back with my GF and took the same trail...
I've installed everything on my jeep, minus the exhaust. Had I not been so busy and impatient I would of done it myself.
Larger jobs like a lift and bumpers, I'll probably have it done at a shop.
My driveway is slanted and I feel unsafe putting jacks under it. I dont fit in my garage with my...
I drilled a 1inch hole into the rotopax, sent them pictures and they are sending me a new one.
I will post a picture of the new one when it arrives.
They have been, so far, very helpful through the emails.
I'm hoping this is a rare case of a faulty product. But if the new one holds up to my...
I'm hitting up anzo tomorrow morning.
I started a thread on my fuel can leaking, but I'm not too worried. I get about 300+ range on the road and maybe more than half that offroading. 150 miles is plenty.
I'm sticking around fish creek mostly, just to start. Got a few other places in mind...
I've never filled them to full capacity. I would say 80%.
Ive had it over a month and only left gasoline in for about 4 days. Filled it a few days ago for the trip this weekend.
Rotopax emailed me back. Let's hope they stand by their product and replace this defective unit.
They want me to destroy the unit, take picture, and they send me a new one.
The bottom of the rotopax. I only noticed because i was walking around the jeep and smelled gasoline.
So I looked and saw gasoline on my jeep hardtop where it I saw a drop on the corner.
It's a small leak, but a leak nonetheless.
I will try the amazon method. That's great advice.
I got a rotopax 2 gallon fuel container, mounted on my roofrack, and noticed it is already leaking.
It was purchased through amazon and past the 30 day return by a week.
I have a trip in 2 days, and was hoping to have extra fuel for the trip.
I use a normal tent, instead of a rooftop tent.
I have a basic ice cooler, will keep ice for about 3 to 5 days depending on the weather, so no in car fridge/freezer.
Most of the recovery and other camp stuff is secured to the roof rack.
My grill is about 10x12", very small and uses butane cans...
Doing death valley in a week or two, trying to get a friend to get his schedule squared away.
In a month or two, planning a trip to Yellowstone park. Very excited for that.
That's a good place to learn about your vehicle, but is mostly just mud and sand lots.
Theres a lot of trails here that are mostly fireroad but can be challenging when you drive the offshoots.
I prefer the longer trails, rather than the small parks.
