Need Help - Protecting Alternator/Car Battery From mud/water

Not a bad idea to rinse the alternator after a good mudding. I did some mud last year and my alternator was making whining noises. Had it swapped for a new one

Tents and why you purchase them?

I love the looks of rooftop tents. But bringing 3 dogs (45 60 and 90lbs), I wont be able to hoist my dogs up there.

Tents and why you purchase them?

I'll take a picture of it when I can. I can stand in the middle of it. Yes, humidity is not fun! I prefer winter camping hehe.

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

I just bring knives, no guns. The big one is about 2 lbs, 15"blade. Great for chopping wood. Medium one is worn on my belt. Dont really use it, but would for coyotes and such, in case they wanted to attack my dogs. Then a pocket knife for cutting foods or make feather sticks.

2016 jeep wrangler rubicon. I average 16 mpg. I get about 13 on the street and about 18 or 19 on the highway.

Tents and why you purchase them?

I camp in every season except summer. Not a fan of heat. I got a 4 person coleman tent. Cheap and works well.

    My build journal

I live in southern ca so there isnt too much forest to overland other than a few mountains here and there. Most of the open space is desert. Could a winch be useful in the desert with no trees large enough for a recovery?

    My build journal

My jeep is pretty much stock, other than the wheel spacer and slightly larger tires (285 70 17). Got her in 2016, and did some offroading with some friends and also solo. I am about to order a roof rack basket, along with some rotopax fuel cans, two 2 gallon and mount them to the roof rack...
