While we're on bears, has anybody had an encounter with bears while you had your dogs in camp with you?
Granted neither one of mine are the least bit dangerous, but they're both large dogs and one has a pretty intimidating bark if you don't know he's a big old baby. But is the scent from 2 dogs...
Luckily I've got one of the older 5.3Ls no active fuel management, no DoD. Currently sitting at 294,000. Other than the horsepower sweat (oil leaks) she's a happy engine. I also let the engine heat up before I put it in drive
My attitude toward the afm is, if you want v8 power you're gonna have...
The warn has a spot for 2 more lights, which you know I'm going to put on, after I get the winch. The next thing to go on, is Warns Gen II VR-10s. Which I feel is a good starter winch after watching all the reviews on it. There is a 4" BDS lift in the girls future. ARB rear diff cover because I...
so the transmission had to come out. You have never worked until youve removed this things transmission. We needed to gut the entire trucks frame. The rear shaft, front shaft, transfer case and crossmember, exhaust had to be unbolted from the headers, 02 sensors had to be unplugged. torsion bar...
unfortunately, most of the pictures of my truck disappeared when my last phone just stopped working out of the blue. She was a bone stock 2002 silverado z71 (I mean bone stock), only thing beyond stock was the tires were upgraded from 265s to 285/75/16 falken rocky mountains.
First thing we did...
Yeah, you! Lol. I was looking at the zircon 5 or 7. Just gotta save up for it. Until then though, it appears my Ozark trail will have to do

Every 50,000 I'll change my diffs fluids (there's no gunk don't freak about the long service life)
20,000 the transmission fluid and filter get changed. I'm anal about that one because I've rebuilt my transmission. Not something I want to do again.
Transfer case is right there with the...

i like goofy stuff like dirt everyday with fred williams.
I also like watching peoples project take shape. like if you cut a truck in half and you look at the camera and say "what the hell am i about to do to this perfectly good truck" ill more than likely watch all of your videos
I second the wiring harness thing but I also recommend looking for loose grounds.
You would be amazed of how a loose ground can mimic components going bad.
Its pain staking and requires a lot of man hours but I've seen a Cherokee roast the entire harness due to a few wires rubbing together...
Just saw one of the rules and it raises a question. What difference would it make if the animals stayed in the truck?
Looks like I'll stay off white rim

Don't feel bad I'm behind on the gear too. I just like to explore. The more technical driving the better
