Tires, lift, tires again if lift calls for it. Let the engine breathe a little better, so muffler and intake. Bumper and winch. Then a good cooler that isn't an overpriced one that rhymes with seti

I point my truck at stuff that I know my tires and dig into and eat. If it looks like it's just gonna sink the truck to the frame rails I'll choose another spot.
Its just trial and error. But the worst you can do is keep highway tires on. They'll clog up with tiny treads and you'll spin away...
Wide, meaty, aggressive tires. Look up TSL boggers, super swampers, or thornbirds for examples.
You also need the horsepower to spin the tires fast enough to clear the mud out of treads.
Other than that, put it 4Lo and keep her pinned, and be ready to get muddy when you get stuck (not if...
I'm going on the little path I've attached, on the 14th-16th. Its short notice so I'm not expecting any other OB members to join, but I'm sharing in case anyone should want to go in the future.
My plan is to drive up Chloride Canyon, turn north on a trail I found on google earth, to Lookout...
I was thinking about getting the karma system from go pro. But with all the rules surrounding drones im kinda cautious.
But as of right now everything is off my s7 active

I think the Cherokee that cooked the harness that I saw, it was the bundle of wires that run through the fire wall. Like the innermost wires of the harness. I'd check there before taking it to a shop

Yes. Yes I do trust that 25 dollar jack. It's the same fluid physics as a high dollar jack use. All you're paying for is quality control, which is why you inspect stuff before you buy it or run it to its limits.

If the housings weren't made out of cast aluminum and the tie rod issue was addressed at the factory, GM ifs wouldn't be that bad. I've seen guys weld the 8.25 to make it into a full spool and just went between 2wd and 4wd. The casing eventually split because it couldn't take the pressure when...
I'm still skeptical. I know my 8.25 got the short stick of the gm ifs family, and I know it's not unheard of for 7.25s to get limited, but a full blown locker?
Then again maybe I'm wrong might be a badass little truck

A locker in a GM ifs?
As a proud gm owner, I'm skeptical unless they upgraded the way they form the aluminum axle

I've always just wrapped a strap around the axle to the frame, so when you pick up, that doesn't happen. Harder to do with an independent suspension.
Its also one of those safety squint moments.

The epa is probably one of the most backwards agencies we have. Like the continual usage of the catalytic converter.
Here I'm gonna make my intelligent engine computer spray more fuel than it needs to make the cats hot, so they can burn unburned fuel. Instead of making the engine spray the...
I can believe it. Trying to make a v4 pull the same weight a v8 does, even at highway speeds, seems kinda ridiculous. I believe manufacturers are trying to put more technology into the engines than they need. Just let the engine be an engine. And put more time into getting the fuel to atomize...
