The Israelis have made some impressive vehicles for their military out of Wranglers. Hendricks built some concept vehicles out of Wranglers for Spec Ops that can be helicoptered into remote locations. I could see it happening. But I doubt it will. The U.N. seems to like Wranglers, since they...
Good info. We're planning on making a trip down from Iowa next winter for a couple weeks. I'm going to research what you have posted and see if we can work it into our trip.
I'm starting a thread to discuss and display how members on here have their rigs set up. Putting a winch on my rig was a priority for me. I want to be able to perform self recovery in the event that I become bogged down in the mud or in some other situation. Share your rig and gear info so...
Do you find that they grip bolts securely? I've read good and bad reviews about universal sockets and there doesn't seem to be any grey area. People either praise them or loath them. Just trying to shed some weight. But it seems like I'm better off just sticking to my traditional socket sets.
So I'm trying to lighten my load in regards to gear that I pack into my rig. I've been looking at the universal sockets and the spline drive pass through sockets. Has anyone had any experience with these newer sockets? I still use traditional sockets but am wondering if I could reduce the size...
Same battle I have with my wife. Think I'm just going to by a motor home and pull the Wrangler behind it. Would rather have a tear drop or M101 with an RTT though.
I saw some tear drops on Craigslist. There's a guy here in Iowa making them. I think they were around $5000 complete. I'm interested in buying one, though building one would be fun.
Dual battery setup is something I'm aiming for someday. Just not a lot of room though under the hood. But I know people have done it with Wranglers. Hopefully someday I'll have the desire to tackle that project. Nice set up in the LR you have.
This is the other one I'm looking at get's good reviews. This is the 2000ah version. They also have a 1000ah for around $120. This one is a bit pricey but may be worth it when dry camping...
