I've done a bit of riding up towards St. Joe. Mostly at Marble Creek and outside St. maries, some further south at skyline drive. Awesome place with lots of trails for bikes, haven't taken my jeep up that way yet.
Saw the ad for this online auction thought people might be interested. All seem to be used but the bids still look low. Pelican 1510, 1650, 1660, 1690 and 1780. Not sure if this is the right place to post something like this but they are located in the Dalles, Or and I assume you would have to...
Nice clean looking WJ. Any chance you could post a couple pics of how and where those sliders mount? I'm wanting to build some this winter and it would make things easy if i saw how and where others are mounting to the unibody.
I haven't been out there in years (10-15) but Hover park outside of Finely used to have some trails you could play around on. Muddy 2 tracks and a little bit of rocks. Not sure what is still open out there but might be a close by place to test things out. Outside of that and sand not a ton of...
I'm probably done with any multi day trips until spring, now that things have slowed down at work I have some projects planned that will have the jeep down for a bit. Maybe between projects we can find somewhere local to go test things though. Where do like to go around here? We usually head...
If we're sharing dog pics...this is Tinkerbell, 4 yo Great Dane/ Brazilian mastiff. Her first camping trip was at 9 weeks old, she loves camping whether we are in the our camper or in the jeep with a tent. She's a big goof and tries to catch mud that gets flung up by the tires, pretty funny...
That first run from Jubilee down to Baker city and around sounds like a good time, I might have to look into that sometime. Jubilee lake area is a favorite for me and the wife, short drive from home and some nice day trips once you get there. We usually head up to Timothy springs to camp to...
I would love to get out one more time this year, but I'm busy every weekend until mid Dec. I'm with you on running a more humble rig, I think I'm around $4k into my WJ. While I would love a new JKU with $40k of upgrades I love my WJ and I'm not worried about scratches and dents. With a...
Thanks for the welcome Dilldog, I really like the woods around north Idaho. Hopefully I can get in a trip up that direction at some point. I lived in Pullman for 10 years before moving back to the Tri Cities and had some friends I would ride with in north Idaho. Do you run with a club in...
Thanks for the warm welcome! I've spent some time in the hills over your way around Naches and Rimrock but mainly on dirt bikes. Just got the WJ together this past spring and only made it out on a couple of trips in the Blue Mtns. I would totally be interested in some trips over that way, was...
This past spring i did the same swap with a t-case out of a '98 Durango. The rebuild and swap is pretty straight forward. I wish i had done the SYE at the time of the swap, but it wasn't planned. I tried to change fluid in the 247 and found out it was junk, but had the 242HD and rebuild kit so...
New to the group, located in Kennewick. Setup is a 2001 Jeep WJ looking for ideas so I can start planning some trips for next year. Anyone on the east side and have some good 1 or 2 day runs they'd like to share?
Hello!
I'm Dustin from Kennewick, WA. New to OB and the overland scene, but have been camping in the woods and off roading for years. Current setup is 2001 Jeep WJ with 3" IRO lift, 265/75R17 Maxxis RAZR MT's, 242HD TC swapped from a '98 Durango, cut front fenders/bumper and Rack with lights...
