    Swing away tire carrier

What's wrong with the Wilco? I am also considering it for my 3rd gen T4R. Cheaper than a new bumper and can be moved to another car.

Minimal lift for 3rd Gen 4Runner

Thank you. Leaning towards OME 906 rear springs and Icon for everything else.

Minimal lift for 3rd Gen 4Runner

I have a '99 4Runner Limited. It's been my daily driver for 15 years, and has been running like a champ for all that time. It no longer needs to hold DD duty so I can finally build it out. I want to make it more capable, but only minimally. I want to run skinny 32's and upgrade the...

I have some, but I'm in San Diego. Shipping to GA would be a bit steep. Mine are RCI steel.

What's your MPG (fuel economy) on the road.

I went with larger, but skinnier tires. Stock was Goodyear Wranglers, which were designed primarily for road. Switched to a skinny BFG KO2, which was 1" larger in diameter, but 1" skinnier. No hit in MPG at all. If anything, it went up a tick. Then I added a Frontrunner rack and dropped 2-3MPG.

That's with the tent mounted? Pretty impressive. I just added some frontrunner slimline II's to my '16 Tacoma. went from 19.5 to 16-17, and that's with an empty rack.

    Overload Springs on Tacoma

I added the Icon add-a-leaf and removed the overload. I also switched to the Icon 2.0 shocks. Huge difference. Sits nicely with shell and racks and doesn’t sag when loaded.

    Airbags

Nice. I ordered Icon add a leaf. I’ll probably run them without the overload spring but leave the airbags in place and see how it does. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

    Overload Springs on Tacoma

For those of you who upgraded your Tacoma leaf springs, did you remove the overload spring? I’m adding Icon’s add a leaf and Icon 2.0 shocks, but not sure if I should remove the overload spring. I’ll be carrying standard camping gear and a fiberglass shell, so nothing extreme. But I don’t...
