2019 Ford Transit Quadvan 4x4....installed Transit Offroad upgraded lower control arms

Sounds so simple for the Taco/4runner crowd, toss on new control arms. Well for us Transit van folks there just as NOT been any options. And I beat on my van hard so this was an upgrade I really wanted, especially as this rear control arm bushing "fights" the control arm movement on a lifted...

Well having lived here in central Phx since the 80's you just are NOT going to get alot of interest untill the evening temps come down. Even a Sat am meet up is HOT right now :) I would say your best bet is to mark a date in Sept when it cools off a little.... There are lots of great trails...

Hey all, I have a buddy opening a Overland focused retail store w/ a couple of install bays. He is a few months out and getting the attention of the right kind of employees is a worry. We talked about going to 4wd club meetings, hitting the trails and looking at builds and trying to find the...

    Overlanding with Physical Limitations

Howdy Steve, I remember very well and you will get a kick out of knowing I just been a week with Maureen "Mo" who was part of the Toyota Trail Teams FJ Launch and still has her FJ Cruiser. Want to rent your non-camping trailer? The Euros are coming to the Sonora Rally

Hello & Howdy All, I am with the Sonora Rally April 21-28 and with the short gap between our race and the recent Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge is causing teams to have to fly/container goodies to Long Beach. And you can't take a U-haul or other commercial rental truck across to Mexico (if you know...

Garmin Tread vs Tablet + Inreach

With Garmin you are locked into their maps and all the Garmin issues... With the tablet/phone setup you already have you can use a wide variety of mapping apps, watch movies, download pdf files and so so much more. I would go with the Inreach mini or Zoleo ( I have been testing it against my...

    270° awning; which side?

If you have a passenger swing out on the rear then drivers side awning does make the most sense. I love my 23Zero with the side walls....we normally only put on the rear wall for showering/cooking off the back of the rig and that leaves the front part open for viewing. Propane fire pit works...

Hex Keys, Ratches, Sockets, Spanners & Wrenches

I have had great great luck with Tekton tools... Here are my thoughts, get this set to cover pretty much everything socket https://www.tekton.com/3-8-inch-drive-6-point-socket-and-ratchet-set-skt15311 There are times you need a wrench for access or to hold the other end of something...
