What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Pictures as promised. The battery I decided to go with. At the point of no return. Old battery tray, fuse box, and air box out. So much room! New battery tray, batteries, fuse box, and air box back in.

2015 Rubicon Hard Rock Build Mjolnir

Got the Genesis Dual Battery kit installed over the weekend. Once I can remember my Photobucket login info I'll post some pictures. Wasn't too bad of an install, took me about 2.5 hours from start to finish by myself. The worst part was the factory wiring harness, and getting the cables to the...

    4Runner VS Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Skimmed over some of what other people are saying. If room is the biggest factor I'd say go for the T4R. While I love my JKU and won't give it up, space is at a premium. I also read about the fatigue someone had mentioned. The NVH isn't horrible, but is definitely noticeable. It doesn't help...

[OB1375] 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock - The Rube Goldberg Machine

I've got the stock Hard Rock front and rear bumpers. I figured it was part of the price I paid, so I'll keep them. AEV has some touch up paint they sell so I'll probably get some of that to fix it.

[OB1375] 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock - The Rube Goldberg Machine

I had gotten mine in 2012 I believe. It wasn't long after they were introduced. I left it on until I traded my 2013 in on my current 2015. Will be doing the AEV carrier on this one. Though I am disappointed my front bumper is already rusting.

[OB1375] 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock - The Rube Goldberg Machine

I hated my Teraflex carrier. Started rusting the first winter I had it, and they were very difficult to deal with as far as customer service goes. Sold it and never looked back.

Looking good! Can't wait to see everything else. Love my Hard Rock too! Nice to see another manual one as well.

    Undercoating/Rustproofing

I've got undercoating, paint protection, and interior protection. I worked for a while in the car business and saw first hand the place it's done at, so I went ahead and ponied up the $700 for everything, because we use a lot of salt here, and I'd rather be safe than sorry.

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Ordered a dual battery kit a few weeks ago, and ordered dual batteries yesterday. Next thing on the list is to switch from the Jeep to the truck and get cranking on that. Next upgrades for the Jeep are wheels, tires and a tire carrier. For the truck it's new rear leaf springs, and a bunch of...

2015 Rubicon Hard Rock Build Mjolnir

Ordered a couple of Odyssey Extreme Group 34 PC1500T batteries. 850 CCA and 65 Amp Hours. Should do very nicely.

What means of communication do you have available?

Cell phone, had a CB in the old Jeep, but won't be putting it in this one. And a UV5-R. Looking into mobile options as well.

    Jeep renegade

Deserthawk? Do you have the MySky? My fiancé is looking at getting a Trailhawk, and we haven't had the chance to drive one yet. Looking forward to this build!

DOES COUNTRY OF ORIGIN INFLUENCE YOUR PURCHASE

To me it depends on what it is, what company makes it, and their reputation.
