Overland Clothing...not necessarily the branded overpriced stuff.

I'm starting to develop the same habit. I bought shoes for work that are resoleable, as well as new hiking boots from Danner that can be recrafted. Buy once and cry once. Took me a while to learn this, but now I'm definitely sticking to it.

    Honeymoon 2017

I forgot about the caves out there! I've been to Wind Cave when I was younger. Thanks for the info on the other sights!

    Honeymoon 2017

Well this is starting to come up quickly. Have places reserved, and some trails to check out thanks to @Daniel Etter. Any other must sees while we're out there? We lucked out and the time we're going it's the Buffalo Round Up so we're pretty excited to check that out. Anyone ever been to it...

    PANTS

I wear shorts whenever possible, and in the winter when that's not possible here I've started wearing 5.11 pants. I absolutely hate jeans. I've got a couple pairs of 5.11 pants and like them. I haven't liked how the pants leg tapers at the ankle because of the shoes I wore, but now that I've got...

Cleaning (and protecting) an emblem on a rig

Glad I found this thread. My emblem is in bad shape from the salt this winter. Going to try to clean it up with some baking soda and water and see what happens.

Mountain State Overland: Discovery Route 1 Recap

It was nice to put some faces with some of the names that I've seen on here and IG. I enjoyed watching their video last night, and can't wait for their new season.

    A10MileHusker's 2017 TRD Off Road

I need to do this on my JKU yet. How long are the hoses that come with the kit?

How much weight before trailer brakes are needed?

For some reason the weight of 2,000 lbs is sticking in my head. Can't remember if I read it somewhere or what, but that number sticks out to me.

    What's Your Motor Oil ?

Just found out the Amsoil Signature Series and OE meet the requirements. I may be switching over now.

    Father/Son Tat Trip- 2016 T4R Trail Premium

They look good! Followed you on IG the other day. Looking forward to see where this build goes, and how the trip goes as well.

    What's Your Motor Oil ?

I'm doing Pennzoil Ultra Platinum or whatever their highest level is. Only oil I know for sure meets the FCA requirements. I'm going to do some digging into other oils, but have been happy with Pennzoil so far.

Where/How are you mounting your Baofeng handheld?

Haven't mounted mine yet either, but I have a bar from my old JK that connects to the passenger grab handle and I'll probably clip it to. Or get a RAM mount for it.

Started following you on Instagram yesterday. Looking forward to where this goes.

    4Runner VS Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I'm not saying that's what I paid. I actually paid about $36k. I agree with you on having a taco for a song. I saw that comment and was trying to figure out where you could get one for a song. What's nice is my JKU being 2 years old with 23k miles on it is still worth $32-34k. But I still say...

    4Runner VS Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I know what you're saying, however choosing one to compare to that already has a lift and everything isn't quite comparable. The MSRP on my JKU was around $42k.

    4Runner VS Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

They're charging a premium for that thing. I just went and built a Rubicon Recon (highest starting MSRP) and added every single option available and I only got it to $51,425. Edit: It already has a lift, wheels, tires, and bumpers.

2015 Rubicon Hard Rock Build Mjolnir

I did not get the G-screen at this time. I may think about getting it later though since it seems to be pretty handy. I was already stretching my budget with the batteries and kit. I'm not a fan of the ones that go through the hard top. They are streamlined and look nice, but I like to run a...
