    GAS prices

It has already gone (cape lookout trip) from about $175 to $400+ for us. That's at today's prices. If it goes over $6, we may have to cancel. It's not just the fuel, but EVERYTHING is going crazy expensive. I fully expect the ferry price to double from $85 when we get there. -Dan

Got the engine back in. Will finish the headers, electrical, AC and cooling system and mount the winch & bumper this weekend. Gotta bail on Charlotte Rigs & coffee - kinda bummed about that. But I'll make April, with a more complete vehicle :)

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Gonna need a co-signer pretty soon. Just hit 4.39 here in WNC. Was 3.99 when I went home last night. At 12 - 14 mpg this will be putting a damper on some of the longer trips we had planned.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I just changed all of mine a couple weeks ago. Made a huge difference in the ride. At 370k+ miles, it was an all-day job that I would not do again. You should probably think about it sooner than later, as I think it only gets harder as the fittings rust. Just my $.02. _Dan

Show Me Your Overland Cocktail Bar

Nice! While I'm more of a Bourbon fan, I do like the occasional foo-foo / umbrella drink. I would have this in my rig.

    Overland Dogs

My last 2 dogs were black labs. I got to hold George as he passed, like losing family after 15 yes. Hard to replace him. He helped raise my kids ( we were single parents). -Dan

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I think I have the same CAD program. It seems I have to use it for everything I want to upgrade because there is no aftermarket for the 2nd generation Explorer. Which is exactly why I chose the platform. Nothing against Jeeps and Taco's, their popular because they are very capable machines. I...

    Overland Dogs

Haha! I have one of those overland wives too! Never even knew it. :) I was wondering about a new dog - lost my buddy after 15 yrs. I was debating on the breed, another Lab, or something else. Now I know! An overland! Just poking fun. Great list - totally agree. :) -Dan
