What keeps you from overlanding more?

If your answer is time, what is more important that is taking up your time?

What do you do for insurance on your offroad trailer?

I built a nice offroad teardrop. I plan to be towing it aroung North America but will not always be tied to it. I am not worried about wrecking it, but they get stolen around here frequently. I called my insurance agent and got a quote for $15,000 of stated value coverage. I was pleasantly...

What keeps you from overlanding more?

I don't get out near enough. I live close to some awesome trails but life gets in the way. For me, it is either time or money. I have my rig and trailer built but when you are working 60 hours a week, days off are few and far between. Health and their expenses have cut my budget. Just when...

    Scanners

When I am offroad, the last thing I want to do is mess with technology. I carry a cb and ham rig for emergencies.

Dirt Bikes: Anyone else throw one on/in the back?

My wife would shoot me if I got a bike. I used to race professionally and made a large amount of money before I met her. She has lived with me through 16 orthopedic surgeries. I earned my handicapped license plates. Mention bikes and her blood pressure goes up 50 points. When you are...

Best Bang for Buck Overland Rig

I have a 1985 Jeep Cherokee that I have had for 22+ years. I would hate to have to count the number of nights I have spent sleeping in the back while doing trails all over Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Utah. The wife didn't ever really get into the camping thing so most of my time was...

    Electrical Help? Inverter Tripping Breaker

I would probably bump up the gauge of the input wires as well. Optima's are not the best on high current draws.

    Lets See Your Dirtiest Pic!

We hit this mud hole and didn't know how deep it was. Rather than tell my buddy that was running about 5 minutes behind.....we just took pix. What are friends for?

    Lets see some trail photos!

This site is commonly referred to as Crystal Mill. It is on Scofield Pass, between Crested Butte and Marble, Colorado. It can be accessed with a stock SUV from the Marble side, and a slightly more equipped vehicle from the Crested Butte.
