Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I feel for you guys. I'm lucky that I am an "essential" aka "expendable". It is never easy when due to no fault of your own, you get the shaft. Hopefully some of the gov giveaways will make it your way to ease the pain.
Doing a homebuilt is not hard in Colorado. You do have to have the State Patrol inspect it before you can get your title and tags. I think that ran $20.
My diesel heater sends ALL of the combustion products outside, just like in your home. As long as you plumb it correctly, there is no need for a CO alarm.
I don't carry them for looks like many. I carry mine so I don't run out when things don't go as planned. Mine are decidedly old school and by the way were way cheap. I cleaned them up and painted them. One has diesel for my heater. I carry a spare fuel pump for my jeep. I keep a 15' cord...
Any trailer supply place will sell premade receivers with the hole drilled in it and even a band around the exit for strength. I think I paid $13 for mine.
