Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
When I packed gas on the roof (very large tank) I bolted and strapped it down on my roof rack. I only moved it when it was empty. I filled it when it was already up there and then siphoned (shaker siphon hose) it directly into the tank. Made things pretty easy.
(not much detail to be seen...
1. Sleeping tent (it's pretty huge, with 2 it's easier to get the framework up)
2. Screen eating tent (also pretty big, 2 person job)
3. Once both big ones are up I then finish pegging down the sleeping tent while my wife sets up stuff inside the sleeping tent (bunk beds for the kids, etc)
4...
Looking good.
If you do plan on putting an aftermarket front bumper (or even a rear)... get your suspension dialed in specifically for that extra weight or you will really find out what nose dive is all about, lol. For instance.
Does the T4R Trail have a rear locking differential? A-trac?
I got one of these for my wife for her birthday... she loves it. It seems to work pretty well.
We dehydrate to save space and preserve flavour.

A whole pile of Forest Tent Caterpillars.... we got used to having them crawl all over us as we quadded or walked through the bush. They sure squish easy if you aren't paying attention! Bleh. Lots of guts ended up on my clothes. Lol.
What's Overlanding without something going wrong? Lol.
A buddy and I went and did a little Overlanding… camping back into the deep bush with the quads. This area is just SE of Rushing River Ontario. Just drop me a line if you want more details on the location.
It’s a 2.5 hr drive to where...
You guys and my broken leaf spring have me convinced.... I'll air down my trailer tires next time.
(My axle was upgraded but the trailer guys put the old leafs right back on! 3500# leafs on a 6000# axle! Not impressed! Now I have to go leaf spring shopping.)
Update... it worked flawlessly with the new air filter. I'm pretty surprised the air filter got so clogged so quickly.
Lesson learned... I'll be keeping an eye on it.
Have her insurance buy you a new bumper.
I just went through insurance and got my front bumper replaced (I was at fault... ice/bridge/partially seized brake caliper/perfect storm)
Crappy part for me is I would have to unhook my trailer to air the tires up since my hose won't reach.... lol. Which isn't that terrible I guess... hmmmm.
It does bounce quite a bit sometimes... some damn rough sections.
I'll maybe give it a try next trip... which is very soon.
The benefit I would possibly see is a less jarring ride for my quads and gear on the trailer.... the trailer only has leaf springs for suspension.
It can get pretty harsh and is tough on the ratchet straps holding the quads down.
When you are taking a trailer off-road do you guys air down your trailer tires as well?
I've heard this can be detrimental as it will add to trailer sway back and forth.
I've got heavier duty trailer tires on my trailer so they have a nice stiff sidewall to prevent the side to side movement...
Cool... good idea to use it as a monitor. My fridge will shut itself down prior to killing my battery so I don't need the warning system (it's one of the first things I check in the morning though.... right after my coffee, lol)
Around our camp area we have multiple ThermaCells (lantern style and portable style) and always have plenty of bug spray that we use liberally.
We use Deep Woods Off Sportsmen.... it contains 30% deet. It's ALL about the deet... lol. (we use the aerosol one)
(The mosquito should be our...
Why do you have your inverter on all night? Do you plug your fridge into it? And if so... why don't you use it on DC instead? From what I understand DC is more efficient.
