    Boat, swim, helicopter? Seriously, coming south it might be easier to go through Hatteras and take the free ferry to Ocracoke Island ...no wait, Cape Lookout is further south, can't drive from upper . There a a number of options from like Swan Quarter and Cedar Island. Will send PM.

    Have you checked out the ferry service for Cape Lookout? Never been but I know some people that go in the Fall. They make reservations way ahead. They are coming from different direction though.

    Them little ole gators wouldn't scare me. Those little guys are just sunning. They get a whole lot bigger than that. Small dogs and a stringer of fish is what they really like. Just watch that tail. That one in the middle could probably break your leg.

    You can probably sell that fairly easily. Everything overlanding is hot and somewhat hard to get right now. I sold a soft top RTT much quicker than I thought I would and had to turn down one person. Tacoma stuff is probably the easiest to unload.
