  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Georgia Mountains the week of Aug 9th - 14th anyone?

I spent several night Last October I spent several nights in the area on the map. There are some nice looking streams there. I fished some but was mostly checking out the area and exploring as I had never been there before. It's time to go back and concentrate on the fish! The Sandy Bottoms...

    Keeping Track of Campsite Information

Police Bribery Points? LOL! That must be a European thing? Either that or I got lost in translation. Thanks for the overview, Heinz. Things are moving fast and I'm so old school! I'm researching which way to jump. Every little bit helps.

    Full Time (storage of stuff)

If you have a place to put it, an intermodal container was a solution for me. I live near enough to the Port of Charleston to have access to used containers. Make sure it has good doors. They are fairly well sealed so no rodents. It took my sister and me a couple of years to clean out the...

Kayaks - Inflatable, Rigid, Folding. . . whaddya have and how do ya like it?

Here is a site I found with some interesting inflatables. They have figured out how to put a zipper on the tube so you can store items inside the pontoon. Some actually are able to strap an E-bike onto it. Interesting company history too. The Ranger is on my wish list...

    A Delicate Question

Thanks, ya'll, and @Road , I knew you would have the environmentally friendly answer and comprehensive details I was looking for. Going for longer and longer stays it was something that came to mind when getting gas and looking at the rather small hole on their trash can I realized there are...

    A Delicate Question

For a not so delicate problem. Those of you that disperse camp for extended periods, where do you look to dispose of your trash that has accumulated? I mean when you are on the road @Road :grinning: and aren't headed back home or through a campground where a bin is located do you drive...

Deal on water cans (LCI) update with link to insulated carrier page 6

Yep, mine was ordered on then 3/1 but has now arrived. PSA: Scepter spouts do work on the LCI containers. Just tried it. I think the 10 L size is more convenient but I will put the 20 L to work also. FYI, the LCI cans have Property of the US Government on the sides. Hmmpphh! Think I need...

Need decent trips and events for the Southeast

I'll keep an eye on this post. I will be more open after April 1 at which time I'm looking at an OBX trip. I'm fairly flexible and would love to explore some new areas and see what rigs and equipment ya'll are running.

Deal on water cans (LCI) update with link to insulated carrier page 6

Thanks, I saw that site last night trying to decide what to do. At that cost I just decided to get one Scepter container and one nozzle. May be that it actually works on LCI as some say.

Deal on water cans (LCI) update with link to insulated carrier page 6

So, I just ordered 10 L Scepter/Black water container and dispenser nozzle for it. Should be useful as a shower/warm water and easy dispensing for kitchen use. I can refill it from the LCI containers if need be. And, I'll see how the fit is for the Scepter nozzle on the LCI stuff. Somebody...

Post pictures of your camp kitchen

You're right of course. I was just thinking about that canoe and bike mostly. I looked up that canoe last night, amazing what they do with those materials. Tools, I inherited a bunch and have a warehouse full now. I really have to find a place to put stuff now before I buy it. But, it gives me...

Deal on water cans (LCI) update with link to insulated carrier page 6

Very confusing. Some places are saying it fits LCI and plainly on the order info it says it doesn't. I canceled the order until I can figger this out.

    RTT Question???

My rack is approximately 19" high (It was almost dark) from top of bed on my Tacoma with 5 ft. long bed. It's also lifted about 3". I'm 5'10" and can just walk under it. And, actually the tent is almost even with the back of the cab and 4-5" over the tailgate. Me and a blonde and a redhead...

What is your favorite overland/camp stove?

What kind of quick connect looking thingy is that? Is that a modification or ....never mind, now I see what I'm looking at. I just ordered a five lb. tank should be here this week. Already got the hose for connection to 2 burner coleman.

    RTT Question???

I guess it depends on how far forward your rack and cross member for the forward tie-downs are. My rack over the bed is higher than most but if it wasn't I wouldn't be able to deploy the side window cover/canopy. As it is, I might have a problem with a roof rack and clearance for one of the...
