  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    Boondocking with Chevy Colorado

Off roading wise I feel like it is pretty ready. Still a few things I want to do. After years in SUV type of vehicles the storage is a little different. Easier but more exposed. Easiest thing would be to go with a camper shell but don't care for the "old man" look. I add that on my own...

    Boondocking with Chevy Colorado

Not sure what you are saying? So is the Chevy Colorado good for Boondcking? Guess it would come down to what you consider a reasonable level of comfort. Boondcking is more of a long term camping thing than Overlanding. That is if I am getting the definitions right? I guess I'll be...

I'm selling my 2006 HUMMER H3.Ready for Adventure. This is an iconic off-roader and not too many of them were produced. We often get approving nods and compliments at the gas station. Lost of work done in the last 18 Months and running great! I have most of the receipts for the work I have done...

    GPS/Tablet

I have been using Backcountry Navigator for years and have dabbled with Gaia. I recently got a new vehicle that has Android Auto. I was very excited to discover that Gaia works great with Android Auto. Total game changes. I'll still hang on to the Backcountry Navigator set up for APRS...

Do you have any more information on how you did this? Maybe a link to the Esty thing?

    WARNING: Capless Fuel Tanks

I just got a Chevy Colorado ZR2. It came with a funnel that the dealer told me was for fueling made for this purpose. It was in my glove box so if there's something like that there that's what it's for. If not you should go back to the dealer and ask them about it.

    Spare Operation fluids

I guess one thing I would consider is how remote will you be on your trip. If you will be in and around civilizations then I would carry just the minimum so you would have enough to limp into town if you needed to. I've only been to that area once and it looks like there are some areas you...

Cancelled Cinder Hills OHV Arizona Cleanup

Oh man, I am traveling back home that day. I would have loved to help out. I have a little 4 X 8 off-roadie-type utility trailer if that helps. Don't mind loaning it to the cause.

    I hate ants

In the Southwestern Deserts they say that diatomaceous earth helps keep the scorpions away. This is something you get a pool supply place. Same ideas the spices that you sprinkle it around your tent for area you want to keep them out of. The theory is that the dad's Nation Earth dries their...

Budget Rigs for 10K and under?

I found myself in a similar position burying the pandemic. I got T-boned hard enough to roll me over. I fortunately want to wait fine but the rig I spent 14 years developing and perfecting was totaled. Being a 14-year-old vehicle insurance company was less than generous about what it was...
