  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. What portable air are you using in your rig?

Steve - How's the gauge with your 450P?  I found the one on my 300P was not that accurate, but I have another gauge I use to check pressure.

What portable air are you using in your rig?

Steve - I still haven't ruled out CO2, but I did just pick up an VIAIR 300P for ~$128 on Amazon. It's duty cycle is 33%, but it only takes a few minutes to air up. It's no ARB, and it doesn't have a 100% duty cycle, but for the price it's hard to argue. I'll probably still retrofit my Rover's...

Love the thread and title.  It reminded me of a favorite band of mine, 'OzTent Foxwing Awning is really interesting, though pricey. http://www.oztent.us/images/brand/foxwing/catalogs/foxwing_awning/large/foxwing-awning-background-removed-616.jpg

But back to the thread...I finally got around to making a set of...

What portable air are you using in your rig?

I'm surprised no one's mentioned any CO2 options?  I'm thinking of a Powertank or something similar, though I haven't ruled out repurposing the Rovers on-board EAS pump and tank.  The nice things about the CO2 solutions are the speed of airing up and no need for power, though the downside would...

    Vintage Overlanding

I may be biased, but I like the idea of giving an old rig a new life.  Though it may appear cheaper at first blush, some older rigs can be money-pits in disguise.  If you are particular to a certain make, that may not matter. An older rig may be cheaper to acquire, but if it turns out to...

    Member Rides

Hi - New to forum, discovered from Mid-Atlantic Overland Society on FB. Here are a few shots of my rig. I'm the second owner, and I've had her for ~17 years, though the previous 10, she had been parked on my driveway. We put a new-to-me used motor a few months back, replaced a bunch of other...
