Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I would say that keeping your right foot in check will help a lot to keep things from breaking.
I'm not saying you only break because of the skinny pedal... But, controlling the skinny pedal and limiting tire slip will help prevent a lot of it.
Also, if you are not making it up or over an...
We all need to cut down on the stress in our lives! I feel that one of the reasons most of us are on here.
I'm going to make it simple I think. I'll go ahead and purge everyone except those from the initial trip and those who have been on this forum. I kind of feel like we all share some of the...
Alright... So... it seems like it is a consensus to purge the Facebook page up to the original few from the first trip plus those on this thread.
I'm not sure what to do about those who are not on here, have a member # but are not active on here.
Any suggestions?
A can or two of Skyline chili, cooked with some hotdogs in the chili over a fire... Cook up some spaghetti, a little cheese... then make yourself some cheese coneys and a three way...
How about we do this. PM me or post yourself on here... And I'll leave you in the group.
As a rule going forward. You need to ask from inside here to be a part of the group.
How do all of you feel about that?
What I've noticed is this.
There are quite a few individuals on there that to be honest I've meet on other forums where they have been a pain in the ass. Either being very out spoken about stuff they know nothing about, giving really bad/dangerous advice, giving out trail locations to people...
I'm sold on some of the features the individual in the fist post has in his. Especially hiding the table there and easy access to the cubby in the back of the Jeep. A false floor is in the planning stages for my Jeep. Hopefully I'll have time to build and install it before this summer.
I just use the stock jack that came with the Jeep along with a spacer that is made to fit the Jack and provide added height.
The thing even fits in the storage bin in the rear of the Jeep...
HiLift jacks are great tools. I'm not really sure they are really that safe for changing a time though.
So, this is where I'm sitting... Currently.
The only issue I'm having is the trailer sits well below my JK...
I'm contemplating flipping the axle to underneath the leaf springs and putting a set of 35" tires on there to match the Jeep.
How do all of you feel about that? Pros? Cons?
I knew that was going to be crazy when everyone was getting approved to be in it. But, don't worry. I'll make sure to let you know when I'm heading out. I'm probably coming down this summer to hit Red River again with Nathan. Plus, Colorado in July and Caving over memorial day weekend.
I don't have any pics of it... I'm still kicking myself for that. It was on a CJ7.... I didn't get the story other than he was pulling out a Ford Truck with a Bubba rope. I'm assuming the pickup was stuck in some southern Ohio clay...
regardless, I would still use recovery points and not a...
I have actually seen a bent pin in one of these. The other problem that has been mentioned is the entire hitch becoming a projectile... The confusion is the difference between a static load and a dynamic load. A Device that has a static load of say two tones will in all likelihood fail during a...
