Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
We use the exact same stall as @Ceg. While easy to set up and take down and packs small, we are moving to a roof mounted one for her 4Runner build because I will be adding a roof mounted DIY solar shower and the roof top mounted shelter will be much easier to use with a shower.
1: it’s been done a million times
2: depends… What do you need solar for?
3: depends on what your specific needs are… I when with 1500 watts, but I live full time in an RV and run an AC 24/7
4: yup… positive to positive, negative to negative
5: I don’t recommend kits… they are always over...
Raptor lining the top is ok, and actually gives the top an almost OEM look (as long as we are talking about the fiberglass portion). As for the rest of the roof of the cab, I would strongly suggest against Raptor lining it. On down to the hood… buy a second hood to Rapotor line. They are...
@Neal A. Tew would be a good resource. However, I strongly disagree with @Flipper . I have taken many trips down to the Dunes over the years, and make a point every time I go visit my kids in Colorado Springs to make a trip to the Dunes. I normally camp up near Piñon Flats Camp Ground. I...
Tracks are generated by members… the largest population of members is inside the United States. We have been asking for more track and POIs to be imported by our members outside of the United States without very many people participating. I don’t think people understand how the app works…...
I changed the start battery in the 4Runner to a deep cycle marine battery and then added a second house battery that charges by the use of a 200 amp solenoid activated by the alternator. Then I went to the fuse box under the dash and unpinned the incoming wire for the auxiliary socket circuit...
Sorry to hear that the actuators needed replaced a second time… glad that the door problem is finally fixed… where did you get your actuators from? I’m needing a pair for mine
I do not… I caught it on the news last night… I tried searching for it but could not find it… the inter webs might be a few days/weeks behind at the moment… hence I suggested calling the ranger districts within the forests you will be visiting.
30 amp RV is 110, not 220… and yes most RVs need a 30 amp… The only time a 50 amp service is used in manufacturing the RV is when there are two AC units.
Starting July 22nd at 12:00 pm the whole northwest NFS went into fire restrictions… 2 most notable notations are Gas powered chain saws are prohibited on NFS and BLM lands due to fire danger… second a 2.5 LB fire extinguisher or larger must be carried in every vehicle along with 1 gallon of...
This is the kind of stuff I was hoping to hear… we have one quick charge station in town… unfortunately none of our RV parks here have 220… I know because I had to convert mine to 110 after I built it for 220.
What are your thoughts and impressions after owning the Rivian for a month? It’s an interesting looking truck. I saw one at the charging station in early July and did a little bit of research on the Rivian web sight, and by the numbers it looks to be a very neat rig in concept. I like that...
