Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Locker test:
Put the rig through its first little test. Got bored today and hit up a few local trails.
Can't believe what a difference the locker actually has made. able to finally go places I wouldn't/couldn't before.
More images here...
Got bored this morning, so decided to finally try a real test on the new locker.
Just some local trails behind neighborhoods. Not a lot to see a few fishing ponds along the way.
Nothing crazy compared to what some of you guy/gals go through but i was really impressed by how much the...
Definitely my Grandfather. Not in the traditional over landing sense, but mountains trips in the Old Oldsmobile, fishing trips etc. He loved it. Really got me hooked on outdoors which led me here.
He was a great role model and business man, spent 3yrs in Indonesia, retired early, and was a...
Sanded and Scuffed up the Bumpers, the front was actually from a color match limited black, and had a gloss finish so took a little more than the rear.
Same process as before, rolled, touched up, then rolled heavy to get texture.
Need to hide those power cables for winch better, and still...
I just seen on their facebook, page they were doing trail classes for beginners so I imagine good. But there has been a lot of rain lately. I bet you could call, or Facebook message them.
Bedliner: The cladding, fenders, and Bumpers.
Started Bed lining the Jeeps lower half today, the project will cover the cladding, cut fenders and bumpers.
Sanded everything with Auto grade 180 grit sandpaper (bedliner instructions recommend 120-220). washed and wiped it down, then tapped it...
Hiking and dog generic decals, Rough Country sticker, Supreme Suspension (old lift) and Corkcicle decal (me and the wife love their tumblers, coozies etc)
Ducks Unlimited decal ( pay my membership every year since i was a kid, they do a lot for land conservation and waterfowl), and my Fav...
I have a Thermacell like the brown one in this pic (very similar model) and it works great.
It only seems to cover a small area but, I use it in duck/deer blinds, or while camping and there's a hug difference.

Really like the build, and the Wagon. Looks great.
I've seen those Subaru guys go some amazing places. I see them out on the beach all the time, not sure how the Volvos AWD compares.
Between the size your talking about there's only like an 1" difference right?
At least on a 16"rim it would be going from 31.1" to 32.3".
If this is right your only gonna gain 1/2 of an inch.
I haven't done any true clearance measurements yet, or approach/departure angles. I need to. But I...
Got to test the Winch out today.
It finally stopped raining, so I hit a few trails near the house, not many pics, not a lot to see there. On the way out I mistakenly cut across the muddy ruts and had to put the winch to use.
Normally I wouldn't have cut across them but with the new locker I...
Thanks man, i'm still finishing up the first phase of making it a little more capable with locker, recovery, armor etc.
Then the fun stuff begins. I got some ideas for rear storage, and i'm seriously debating a roof top tent.
