Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Hope your still up there when we get there, I won't leave till July 21 from Vancouver, WA heading up the west route to Dawson City. Be coming back through Glacier at the end. Have a great trip can not wait to see the photos. Keep me posted for what and where you explore.
That sounds great watch my Instagram Account ( @sled_rider ) for updates of location, I'll post as I can. Look for 3 Outbacks traveling together. I have the silver one with a CVT RTT.
I hear the Dempster is a nicer road scenery wise. Also I hear you cannot camp on the Arctic Ocean up the Dalton and you have to take a private shuttle to the ocean as it is on oil property. Looking forward to the first part of August to dip my feet into the Arctic Ocean.
I’ve got a ARB plug kit just in case of any nails or screws in the road way. I’m running BFG AT 2’s and 1 full size spare. Mostly I’ve heard that 2 spares is a recommendation for RV’s. Not worried about blowout just puncture.
Lifestyle Overland just finished an epic trip up there last year They did both the Dempster and Dalton. Check out their YouTube channel for lots of good information.
I'm doing the Dempster in August with 2 others, we are planning to be gone a month. Here is the link to my post here Alasaka Bound
This is the campground I'm thinking of staying in as we will stay 2 nights and leave in the morning. It would be nice to be on that side of the river to head to Chicken. What amenities and how are they over on that side. Really the only thing I care about is laundry, showers and toilets. Be nice...
Thanks for the info. Our travel time is flexible so hard to set reservations. I know we might have problems but that will be part of the adventure. Just hope it is calming down by early to mid August.
OK, I'm getting excited about this adventure. Much in the way of getting things together are being done.
I'll be monitoring OB's recommended HAM146.460, GMRS:15, and CB:16 for comms as of right now. My call sign on HAM is KJ7FTV, on the others just shout out my name. I have noticed @Stickman...
Well it looks like right now I will have company on this run up to Northwest Territories. We all will have Subaru Outbacks. One is a member here, @Liana Lehua and the other is the mother of another member here. A fourth might be @Coachella Valley Overland . Hope he can get his jeep and trailer...
I have had all 3 generations of BFG AT's on my rigs since the '90's and love them. Have run 31" on a Bronco II, on a Dodge Dakota and now on my Subaru Outback and they have been very dependable in all types of terrain and have provided nice long life performance. These have been my go to tire on...
@STPICKENS is correct, the lift is an Anderson Design Fabrication (ADF) 2" lift with multi-link spacer, they are located just out side of Sandy, OR. Bought mine in April of 2017 so check their web site for current prices.
Tires are stock size BFG AT's on stock rims, no spacer and there is no...
