Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Here you can see how tall it sits from the rack I also got the awning attachment form Front Runner and my awning fits perfectly on the rack with the RTT installed. No interference from either.
So far I've had mine for a while. They have worked great for me. I can get the tent on (with help) in about 3 minutes from ground to ready to drive. Same for getting it off-loaded. So far I'm happy. If you take the tent on and off after every trip, like I do, it is well worth the money. If you...
Hard to say, I was already running another rack with the lift and tires. With this setup I get about 23-24 mpg around town and 25-28 mpg on the highway. Highway mileage varies with conditions (wind direction). The Front Runner rack is a lot quieter than my previous rack and that is a big plus to...
Glad everyone is ok, that’s the important thing. The car can be replaced. Hope to hear how this comes out with the insurance and what you end up getting for a replacement.
I have stock height King springs in my 2017 Outback and they are quite stiff. I've heard great things about the Rally Tech springs and I myself would go Rally Tech. Have a fun build and search here there is a lot of knowledge. @Wawa Skittletits has a ton of it.
Welcome, as @Jedi stated I, with 3 others are leaving Vancouver July 21 or 22 to head up the Dempster to dip our feet in the Arctic Ocean. The planning post has been shown, but here it is againhttps://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/alasaka-bound.3806/
See page 5 for the most current route...
I'm actually hoping I dont' have to find out. I did raise the car with the Hi-Lift at the front mounting point, the one with the most leverage and it did not damage anything.

Had some fun out in the Tillamook State Forest. This thing performed pretty good. It was only 27 degrees and quite slippery with the wet roots and some icy patches.
Just got the slider attachment for the high lift and will be trying it out soon. If you all want photos of the attachment points underneath let me know and I'll post them up.
Thanks, I think this build fits me just fine right now. Still a few things I crave, but really don't really need yet. My build is determined on what I am finding I need from the adventures I take. Have a fun adventure with yours. I'm loving this rig right now.
Here are how the lights perform, taken at night in my driveway. I'm quite happy with them and will adjust the lights when I get out in the dark hills on the trail.
First is stock low beams
Second is low beams with ditch lights
Third is low beams, ditch lights and light bar
Forth is high...
