    Gobi Shipping Times

Options for roof racks on Xterras are pretty limited as well. Gobi seems to be the best I've found. $1,400+!

FireStryker - a fire extinguishing product

Neat? Has anyone used one? I imagine you'd have to import it on your own, and who knows what kind of hoops that might take from a regulatory standpoint.

    Hammocks

Whooo-buddy. I have gots to try me some hammock camping!

    Camp Shower (Merged)

Maybe if the can is black? But plastic is a better insulator... you're better off with a metal container.

Does it all come down to tires?

I'd like to fit a pair of 285 KO2s under my rig as well. Do you have any lift, or did you require any trimming?

    Firestik mounted

I have the same mount, but put the screws under the light housing (into the top of the bumper). It holds up well, and didn't require any other coaxing to fit. Love my Firestik!

Great way to end the year.

Great way to start the New Year! I hope it sets a tone for many more adventures this year.

    Blue Sea Fuse Block

How do you like your panel? I was looking at getting one for my own nest of wires.

    CB Radio (merged thread)

I've often used 19 like that. More of a directory that you can then use to move off to a quieter channel and have useful conversation. I usually sit or scan on 19 myself.

    Hema maps app

That's too bad. It would be nice if there were more options for us, and a bit of competition to help lower prices. Oh well, sounds like it'll be Gaia for me.

    Water Storage (Merged Thread)

How does this work, and what does the finished product look like?

    Adjustable Control Arms?

I don't know Jeeps, but for my Nissan, there are a variety of upper control arms that give a better caster angle, and allow the factory alignment bolts to be used for fine-tuning. Like @Oldfooladventures Moak said above, adjustable isn't going to be useful unless you're constantly adjusting...

Building cabin w/o power: 12V air OBA/tank for air tools

I agree with the advice on using battery-operated tools. Air tools are great if you have the compressor to handle them. But OBA solutions just aren't generally up to the task... it's different if you need to perform an emergency field repair, versus construction of a building. Good luck with...

    DIY Awnings

I've seen some posts on here from folks who have built their own awnings. What sorts of fabrics did you use? Are they able to be folded/rolled up like the production ones? Any build threads? I'm thinking of going the DIY route and am looking for inspiration and ideas. Looking forward to see...

    Winter Camping

There's always my wife and a double sleeping bag... :) I am going to have to look into this buddy heater!

    New Roof Top Tent design...iKamper

I'm intrigued, but agree that it doesn't seem all that revolutionary. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has one what they think.

    Anyone else use Pie Irons?

We have a couple but haven't pulled them out yet. I'm going to add that to our next outting!

    It's not what, it's who...

Ditto on the kids. I have not taken mine out yet (5 and 9), but am looking forward to doing so this summer. It will be an adventure!

    It's not what, it's who...

I spend time with my wife. We love adventuring together, and have been doing so almost since we started dating. Sometimes that means flying, but more and more it's overlanding. I have been introducing her to it, and she really enjoys it. We've already got plans for several trips over the next...
