I love the front end. Plus having the TRD Pro version only adds to it. Of course you can do it to a non-Pro as well, but yeah, love it with the red. When the dealer met me where I was comfortable I couldn't walk away without it.
Well I'm going to the right places then. I'm just going to assume because she's female they didn't think she was wanting to go off-roading. Otherwise I'm gonna have to educate them that the recreation and mvum aren't the same thing.
Has anyone ever ran into issues with the "rangers" or whatever their exact title is when trying to get MVUM's at their visitor centers?
When I went to Kings Canyon the other week I stopped at the Hume Lake Ranger Station. My wife went in and grabbed the map as I went to the bathroom, and like...
Looks like the LT tires are the way to go then. Definitely know there's some rocky shale like roads I'll be going on. Maybe the first week or two I'll be okay, but later this year I know I'll be in rocky terrain. LT tires do typically require more air too correct?
Nice photos!
We've been talking about getting a 4Runner for awhile, and with our second vehicle dying the other day it kind of sped up the process of purchasing the Off-Road Premium we had been looking at. The vehicle won't be here for another week or so as it's still in transit and all of that, but wanted...
Sequoia National Park about two years ago. I photographed roughly 36 bears that year (most of which were there), but this was probably the highlight as this mother had three cubs with her. The most I've seen with a mother before that was 2. All of them made it too as I saw them last year.
They...
Thought I'd share a recent trip to Kings Canyon National Park. I was looking for my wife's 4H campground that she would go to when she was a child. The campground sits on a backway into the Park, but unfortunately it was too early to enter the Park that way as the road was closed.
With time to...
Yes, it's the same as my name here: MaddoxPics. I shoot a lot of sports when I'm not in the mountains so my page tends to flood more with sports at times, but I'll be back in the mountains sooner than later.
Really? I would have thought the National Forest land would all follow the same types of signage and what not. Obviously State Parks and what not I could see being different, but that's good to know.
Interesting, didn't realize that was a requirement. I can understand for private land and what...
So I went out that way after getting too damn curious. I found another one eventually on another road, as the first one was a bit worn. It says, "Not Recommended." I went down it ZERO problems in the CR-V, and honestly if you knew how to drive you could probably make it in a Civic too. Not all...
I noticed most were the pretty standard signs you'd see on the road. I emailed my contact in the National Forest, but he takes a little bit to respond sometimes. I'm sure someone here will know as well once they start getting home from work.
My gut feeling tells me the same, but the fact that they have nothing else for vehicles is what worries me. Satellite view you can definitely see tire tracks.
Can anyone give a better explanation, or more detailed information on the backroad/off-road signs we run across on trails. I'm not sure if there is a specific name for them, but they are the ones that sit probably 2-3ft off the ground. The small brown, thin column like ones.
Usually they have...
