For anyone that knows me, or has done runs. I'll be leaving Spanaway at around 9am (ish).
I expect I will probably take 167 to 18 to 90 to 97. That may change depending on traffic.
I still can't find my CB, and I've not take the time to get my HAM, so I'll be sitting on GMRS channel 20.
I...
I haven't been up there since last year. It seems that the trail has gotten a little worse year over year, so I would imagine that how difficult depends on your experience and your rig.
So, I'll ask that question, what is your experience and what are you running?
I always just went with shovel/fire extinguisher to be common sense. I guess I never really looked until now.

Among other things, it does say that you should have a bucket, shovel, and axe to control the fire.
It seems like they didn't get what they were looking for and abandoned their support for the US market. I'm actually a little sad to see that they've left the app there.
You're right. See what happens when you make an assumption! :flushed:
I've been looking at that to try and figure things out. I'll have to go back and keep an eye on it.
It looks like we will be there as well!
I'm trying to find a good, sturdy flag pole for this that will secure under a tire but be sturdy enough to fly 2 flags and not rub the car. If I find something, i should be pretty easy to find
It looks like my plan to get all the way to Dallas may have been a little agressive. Well, unless I want to drive the interstate and not stop and see anything. I'm not sure where, but at some point I'm going to cut north. I'm not sure if it's going to be through Arizona, or New Mexico.
I'm not sure I'm going to make it that far Northeast on this particular trip. Though if I do I will certainly come back and get some more info on the area!
This is fantastic information. I will reach out for sure. I'd be interested to know what your top couple campsites, view points, etc. are. It would help to narrow down the list!
I would love anything you have! Big Bend is already on the list. I expect that I'm going to be mostly in western Texas for this trip.
Once I start getting good information on recommendations for places to visit and stay, I'm going to start adjusting the routes and try to figure out some...
Thanks for the info. I've added Usal Beach and Humboldt Redwoods State Park to my planning map. Hollister Hills was already on the map, as I have family in the area, and am trying to combine visits and exploration as part of this trip.
I'm very interested in Usal Beach. Are there any...
I moved up to the GC Trailhawk. Mostly because I tend to put 24k+/year on my daily driver, but the WK2 TH is the right compromise between road manners, and getting over/through the washout that's in your way.
Drive what you like, and works for what you do, that's what I try to believe. Who...
I don't know that I have any stops or routes to offer to you. But that is a sweet looking Trailhawk. Those things are so much more capable than people give them credit for.
For the vast majority of people that don’t follow me on YouTube, you probably didn’t see that I’m working on a trip around the west of the United States in late September, early October.
There are a few places on my list that I know I’m going to stop at. Otherwise, I really don’t have any set...
