After a long trip I finally made it to Antonio Colorado and the end of the NMBDR.
This is the Cumbers and Toltec railroad station. Last time I was here I was 13 years old.
This is “Cano Castle” in Antonio. Quite a weird structure. I’m told the guy is equally as weird. He says Jesus lives there...
Saw this weird structure in El Rito. Couldnt tell what it’s supposed to be.
Found this really cool campsite n the Carson NF.
Unfortunately I didn’t get to stay here long. My Spot GenX messenger was malfunctioning. It froze up and wouldn’t do anything and wouldn’t even turn off. This wouldn’t...
Found a good campsite on some blm land north of Cabezon peak. That’s it in the right background.
Cool rainbow in the distance.
Abiquiu lake and dam.NMBDR goes down the back of the dam and follows the river for a good distance.
As I was going through the Cibola nf north of Grants, some prick came flying down the mountain and ran me off the road. Didn’t stop and kept on going. No damage to my truck, just thankful it wasn’t on a narrow pass where someone would have been injured.
Continuing north from the Cibola you enter...
Yes everything is pre loaded and working off my garmin glo. It was working correctly the day before as I was route finding. And worked the day after. Just not in the canyon for some reason.
The Navajo reservation was on lock down so I had to detour north On 36 through the Zuni reservation up to Gallup. Being crunched for time I found a small piece of forest service land off of 40 to call it a night.
The next morning I took the short drive to Grants and went to Bar S RV park. I...
I eventually made it to Zuni salt lake where I met up with a group of adv riders heading the NMBDR south. We enjoyed the view together and went our separate ways.
more to come...
Where the NMBDR gets its closest to Arizona, I detoured on another forest service road and went there to do some exploring along the Blue River. I followed that north to Alpine and then cut back east to rejoin the NMBDR.
This is lake Luna just outside Alpine Az

My Gaia started acting up as soon as I entered Chloride canyon. The background got blurry and didn’t correct itself till I left. Anyone experience this before?
The section between Winston and Reserve was my hand down favorite section. I expected a lot and it delivered.
On a side note, there is a sporting gear store/gas station in Winston that is super cool. What they have surprised me and the people were super cool and nice. I would recommend...
The area around White Sands was my favorite as far as driving is concerned. Wide open, flat, and seems to go on forever. Was able to make some good speed here and even jumped my truck twice. I didn’t however do it on the ranch land and respected the property owners.
Saw these on the northwest...
Found a cool place to camp on some blm land on the northeast corner of White Sands Missile range. Pretty cool area with rolling hills.
Found this while hiking nearby with my dog. Not sure what it originally was but there is evidence of a long ago homestead on site. Anyone have any idea...
