I was down in Ouray area all last week. Didnt finish my jeep in time, so was forced to run Corkscrew/Hurricane/California, Engineer/Cinnamon, Ophir/Imogene in my giant f150 and then the wife met me down there with her grand cherokee and Friday we ran BB pass (had her drive the switchbacks) and...
Both our dogs go with us (3yr old male labradoodle and 1yr old female sheepadoodle). The labradoodle loves going to Lowes and Home Depot and has his workers there who enjoy his company. This year was the first time they and my wife have been camping. He loves riding in my jeep when the top is...
The tracker (Trackimo) that I use (have 1 in my camper trailer and one in my jeep) has 1 button that can be pressed for SOS (911) and another button for preprogrammed contacts to send them a text message along with your coordinates. Trackers can be tracked through the app as well and are spot...
I dont run my ac during the summer with the top down. They pump out plenty of heat or ac regardless with my phone there. Maybe its a tj thing, but the jeep heats up or cools off extremely fast.
Downhill glide not so much. Its at my entrance point to the interstate where I have to get up to 70mph and merge over 3 lanes, so Im on the gas the whole way. I cruise the interstate at 75mph.
What trans you have in that TJ, gearing and size tires? My 2005 LJ, auto, with just me in it, 35” tires, 4.88s, on a good day gets 12.5mpg not towing anything.
I have a ‘17 f150 supercrew lariat w/ 3.5 ecoboost, max tow package, 6” lift, 35” tires and tow numerous times here in CO and also take it offroad. Ive towed more than the weight you mentioned you tow and haven’t noticed any excessive temps. Its my DD now that the jeep sits in the garage, I get...
Yes. When I had my duratrac 33” tires I always did a 5tire rotation. I did my rotations/rebalance every 3k miles and those lasted 43k miles and still had life on them when I sold them. When I went to 35” STT Pros, I continued to do every 3k miles rotation/rebalance of all 5 and they’ve been...
Same here except one of our dogs took so much liking to it, that it sits outside her crate during the day when we’re home and keeps her cooler. I bought it for its portability and didn’t even realize until I unpackaged it that it accepts a standard extension cord as well.
We were just out in Telluride/Ouray area for 4 days. I found a great spot if you want to stay on the Telluride side of the mountains. Black Bear should be open by then as they’ve been making progress on other passes the last few days. Id say by end of July.
Sorry guys, had an emergency yesterday late morning after having the camper ready to roll and just returned to connectivity and colorado. Hope you guys had fun and hope to catch up in the future
Yeah my other fan (dewalt jobsite) puts out up to 500cfm. I was just referring to the comment about the high amp draw. That small sirocco fan impressed me with its size and flexibility.
Interesting. I used it last weekend while taking a midday nap, as I need a fan and it was 3’ up from the bed and maybe 5’ from my face, whereas my wife doesnt. I even had it mounted in my truck for the dogs during our road trip.
How do you figure? Here are the specs of my fan I mentioned above:
12 Volts: High .34 Amps, Medium .25, Low .14
High: 140 cfm; Medium: 115 cfm; Low: 90 cfm
We have one of the caframo sirocco II that powers off a 12v supply that I have mounted with clips in the rtt that I would highly recommend to anyone and I just picked up the dewalt jobsite fan that runs on their battery for the dogs. Its a pretty nice fan and picked it up last weekend on sale.
Wife made pizza on ours last weekend, first time cooking on it. Don’t think she used a pizza stone though, maybe a griddle? Id have to ask her as I wasn’t around at the time. Turned out excellent though.
