I've wanted new and bigger tires since we got the Bison. I like the Duratracs but admittedly a stock Bison looks like it skipped leg day! These tires now have 36,000 miles on them, so when a really good deal on a set of 285/70r17 Falken Wildpeak M/T tires came up I jumped at it.

When I was a wildland firefighter I used an Iridium sat phone a lot. Same as the comment above - call quality is not the greatest but it is better than nothing. Antenna's view of the sky is a big deal and if it works it works well, but if not there's nothing there. I had a car kit with a...

We're running the Buena Vista June Jam that weekend JJ4, and more than a few of us are ham guys. We're talking about setting up a station to promote ham radio and maybe try for a few casual contacts. We'll try to find you!

Cool. I don't currently have a mobile HF capability - it's somewhere on the to-do/to-buy list. But I'm happy to help string up antennas and run power etc.
CQ CQ CQ - Calling the ham radio folks! It looks like the 2022 ARRL Field Day will be the same weekend as June Jam. Is anyone thinking about bringing an HF rig and setting up a field station for some contacts? If so, let us know! 73 de AA0BF
