We will be teaching this summer courses for Alaska Overlander in Anchorage. We will then be in the region for 2 weeks.

Does anyone have trails or areas that are must explore there?

Gotta check out the Hatcher Pass area. Low on number of trails but high on scenery and history. When I lived there 20 years ago, the best place to find good long trails was on the Kenai Peninsula if I recall correctly.

@Paris0514 I have been wanting to try out Roosevelt Lake since Lifestyle Overland visited. It looks beautiful and appears to be fairly untraveled. You can view it on their YouTube channel. Season 4, Episode 18, minute mark 19 is the rough start of their drive in to the lake.
