    Dedicated rig vs. Daily driver?

My rig is my daily, although I still have my 05 wrx as a backup just in case. It’s a manual so I don’t daily drive it anymore because of traffic. For me, I knew I could only afford one truck to build up and use for the trails so it became a happy medium of offroading/overlanding. Once I’m...

    Beginner’s info

Ah if that’s the case then nothing really needed. In reality overlanding is just car camping. Take the bare necessaries and buy as you go out more. You’ll find that you’ll change your camping setup the more you go out as you fine tune what you want. The apps will probably be the only...

If you already have a winch, then you definitely want to get some training on how to use it.you will need soft or hard shackles as well. Also need either a recovery ring or snatch block. I’d recommend finding an off road group near you to go out with and get the experience/learning. 90% of the...

Top Heavy Issues with RTT on 7+ Trails

You just have to take the RTT on trails gradually learning how your vehicle operates with that weight high. When I had an iKamper on my truck with OVS 270 awning, I learned that I could take my truck to 27 degrees off camber with no issue. Ultimately it’s up to what you want to use your truck...

Biggest tip is especially starting out is go with another person. Just go out there and have fun. Another person there would help you stay out of trouble. Don’t spend too much money upfront. Get some miles under your belt and see what you need. I would say gaia or onX OffRoad on your phone is a...

So V3 of my build is fully underway! In December, got my SuperPacific X1 camper installed and immediately put some side windows on them. Then I installed the Kammok Crosswing 7ft awning That I got this during their Kickstarter campaign. I then went to OC Metal Fabrication to get a custom dual...

Why does every winch bumper for new trucks look like optimus prime's helmet?

It took me forever to find a bumper that wasn’t so bulky and eventually found a RPG one. The CX is terrible but I am very happy with the bumper.

Gaia inreach mini 2 and iPad mini 6 … JUNK

Maybe I’ve been lucky but I’ve had zero issues linking an iPad Air with garmin inreach for the past few years. My buddy has an older garmin with regular IPad and also no issue.

    2018 F-150 Build

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve updated the build thread but there has not been many crazy changes. However, I am now moving to V3 of my build and prepping for a Super Pacific X1. Here is a photo dump from random trips.

    Spare tire solutions, alternatives?

Use to have a swingout but now I mount it near the cab to keep as much of the bed as possible open. Big benefit is the weight is closer to the center.
